Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

If Disney opens, one of two things will unfortunately happen:
1. It will see EXTREMELY low crowds because nobody will want to go.
2. Florida will soon see 20K or more per day of new cases before too long.

When Texas moved from 25% to 50% and some school districts had graduations, I predicted that we'd see a slight uptick in daily cases or, at best, a flatline within 2-3 weeks. Well, within just one week, the daily new cases doubled and within 3-4 weeks they quadrupled.

That’s WHEN WDW opens on July 11.......

Putting the Karen debate aside, the point I was making still stands. The vast majority of people fully support Disney and other companies for having a mask rule and I doubt that public sentiment will be negative towards Disney for enforcing their mask rule. If a viral video emerges showing a CM enforcing the rule on someone who refuses to comply it isn’t the PR nightmare that not enforcing the safety rules would be. It’s a very small, vocal minority who would be against Disney in that case. Unfortunately they spend too much time in their social media bubble so they believe a lot more people back their position than really do. It’s really not an issue for Disney.

I don’t see how Disney opening is any worse than other non essential stores like Kohl’s and malls are open without required precautions, and Disney is mostly outside!

People don’t travel from far and wide to go to Kohl’s.
My mom probably would ;). By far her favorite store. Outside of her, I agree, nobody else does. Plus I don’t know what’s happening in FL, but in my hood the Kohl’s has a full mask policy and physical distancing in check out lines and other precautions. Same as any other retail store.

Well we just have to wait and see if the rules are enforced or if it’s just lip service. There’s going to be a lot of people uploading videos that will show the truth.

If DS opening is any indication it should be just fine. There are people who have already decided it’s a failure before the parks are even open and they will search out any opportunity to take a picture or video to support their narrative. Same as DS and Universal openings.

There have been plenty of people waking around DS without a mask or wearing it below their chin. Now add thousands of people and I’m not so confident that it’s going to happen but I’m not going so have fun if you do.
