Do all celebrities get a cast member escort?

Odds are if you did spend celebrity money (dropping $1,000 for a dinner tip if you liked the service), you'd be able to get your own free guide if you wanted one.

Disney doesn't care what's right or wrong with society. They just want to keep things running smoothly in their parks.

Because I knew you would tell us. See below.

This is the one thing we agree on. Scary but true.

That would be me... and yes, you are proving my point. Thank you. Your 10K is a daily expense to most celebs like Johnny Depp and the others who visit the property.

I agree but I just doubt they spend that much in the parks.

Since Im in the mood, would you leave a waiter a $40 tip if he performed his/her waiter duties really well. Maybe... probably, not sure if you purchase $200 meals at 20%.

My "10x Rule" applies again (actually it would be 100X here) and proves you wrong; again. Johhny Depp, since i referenced him earlier, left a waiter a $4000 tip.

Your A-list celebs do spend that kind of cash. They do because they can. You boost your 10K price tag, they spend 100K easily. Just accept it.

Sigh.

Look. It's not an issue of 'fair' or 'unfair'. Or of celebrities getting something that the 'regular folks' don't get. Aside from the obvious crowd control concerns, it's economic, pure and simple. Even if the celebrity doesn't pay for this...

If Johnny Depp reserves a suite at the Grand Floridian and then gets his picture snapped by hundreds of people while he's strolling about the theme parks with his family, it's free advertising for Disney. These photos will turn up on uncountable websites, seen by millions of people. Maybe even on shows like Access Hollywood, also seen by millions of people. There is a tangible economic benefit to Disney. In return for that, they give Johnny a guide and some CMs to make sure he doesn't get pestered to death. Both sides benefit.

our last trip a few weeks ago we was given a free VIP guide for 5 days. He wasn't a back stage tour but there to make our visit as enjoyable as possible. he was there to pick us up at the hotel in the morning and to escort us onto any ride as quick as possible. in the whole week we only went through the front gates to a park once.

he done exactly what was explained in the original post and once we got back we found out he would cost $300 per hour with a minimum booking of 6 hours.

we had him for 50 hours of our trip so it would have cost us. $15,000!

A very good service but WOW on the price.

So is that why fast-passes run out so soon because all the celebrities are using them to skip lines?
Someone can correct me, and I'm sure I will be, but to my knowledge celebrities do not use Fastpasses. As has been pointed out, they won't be waiting in any line. The massive crush of people trying to 'get a look' would be extremely dangerous. They are brought in through a back entrance.

If they were a VIp guide then they dont use fast passes. we got on most rides via a fire exit or the diabled line.

We was however given a bout 60 fast passes that can be used in any park, any ride, any time for the length of our stay.

we didnt use these tho as we had our guide and i brought most of them home.

Funnily enough on the day of the twinning we was for the morning.

Other guests were wondering who the hell we were and we got used to the evil looks for line jumping and priority seating by the end of the trip.

If there is a FP line, the guide will bring their party through the FP line (so they don't use FP).

Nope. They even get to skip the FP line.

It depends on what card the guide has. Some parties can get backdoored, but other parties have to go through the FP line (if the attraction has FP).

I think you're referencing the guides that the general public has access to. The ones celebrities get, do not take them through normal lines. Celebrities are brought in through CM entrances or even exits.

My sports stories are read by loyal 10's of readers each week. And if my mother saw me walking in a Disney park, she'd surely cause a dangerous scene (mainly for not telling her I was coming). :lookaroun

The point is...I'm kind of a big deal. I think I need a (tall, blonde) guide...and some of those nifty anytime/anywhere FastPasses. Who do I see about securing this deserved treatment?
