Do all celebrities get a cast member escort?

Never said you were.

Wow. The second thing we agree on.

I still think you are a teenager (young adult) and your parents might have spent some money on Disney property while you were with them, but we will leave that for another time and place to discuss.

I am 24 years old so you are right in that regard :sohappy: but like I said you have no clue how much I make.

We spend around $3000 to $4000 a trip also..that is for gas, hotel for 9 nights, tickets and food and adult beverages which we drink a lot while on vacation to WDW..:Dand souveineirs for 3 of us...and that is spending freely..not looking at prices and what not...I do not understand what you are spending $10,000 on..not that I care how much..because we do not count pennies at all just use the card and always have a lot of cash but it always never usually goes over $4000.
I would say that is a standard price for a large majority of guest. I can see an extra 1K if you added a few extras. A nice dinner here, a behind the scenes tour there for an average party of 4 might bump that number up. I know that we will be spending an extra $100 just on one Halloween Party. :D

This is something wrong in our society we make these people out to be gods.

While I don't give two figs about most 'famous' people, I have also come to the conclusion that if people are happy watching TMZ and following every move teh kardashians make, then thats their choice. It is not my job to judge them, and quite frankly it is pretty self righteous.

I did not even think about the after hours parties..so that makes sense..plus I guess it depends on what resort you are staying in and what time of year..I was just going off of our trips.

I think the thing to remember here is that people from different countries and cultures will view celebrities differently and treat them differently as well.

I find a lot of people inspiring, whether it be Hillary Clinton or Hugh Hefner and his latest girlfriend, and I would find it difficult to pass them without thanking them for the impact that they have had on my life. Even if they had a guide.

Just from experience on my last ICP so many english cast members were disappointed they hadn't seen R-Kelly on RnRC and even more disappointed when they heard Jonathon Ross was strolling round with his eccentric family!

I do think that it's only safe that celebrities, whether you like them or not get a guide. I'm sure they tip their guides well, so it's a good thing. Just because you might not want to see them doesn't mean that a crazed fan won't run across a parade route or climb out of a ride to see a celebrity.

We can all be jealous we're not them but then we can all enjoy Disney in a very different way to them! :)

One day we will splurge and do the Discovery Cove at SW, I gave Sam in '06 the Dolphin Encounter for her birthday there and she loved it. I imagine DC will set us back some, but it is worth it to see their faces and the enjoyment. That will definitely be a pricey week in Orlando and WDW. :D

The way I look at it is that I could stay at the same hotel and eat at the same restaurants as Johnny Depp...but I won't have throngs of middle aged women throwing themselves at me as I walk through Fantasy Land.

It might be worth providing a few thousand dollars worth of complimentary service/security to avoid 10's of thousands in payouts in lawsuits because Disney was negligent in controlling crowds and some little kid got trampled because Gladys and Marge made everyone in the Tough to be Bug pre show holding area aware that Jack Sparrow himself was in front of door #2 with bug eyes on.

I have no problem with guest guides for celebrities...they are nothing compared to watching secret service clear the entire area around the Liberty Square potato cart so a foreign dignitary can sit to eat an apple.

Really? I would think that any dignitary that requires secret service protection in a public place such as WDW would just be prohibited from going in the first place.

Your own body is at least 60% water... Are you afraid of you?
Yes!..

Well..I almost drowned when I was 7..and have been scared to death since...I can not swim to save my life and when I have tried I panic and almost drown so I decided to just not get in water...

I am good while on a cruise though for some reason..but get me where I feel like I have no control or nothing to protect me and I panic..

My child and husband on the other hand are like fish!..

Yeah..my mom pulled me out by my hair and I have been a mess ever since..

I was surprised I did well on a cruise too..I was nervous but it was fine..granted I did not go near the railings at all.. but I was the only one in the party who did not get seasick or anything!..:D

I am glad too because I LOVE a cruise..:D

My dad saw me like 10 seconds later i guess and picked me up right up!

I got seasick the first night because we were in a restaurant with all these windows! Then I was fine!

The only time I went by the railing was to see if I could see a ping pong ball in the ocean! Mostly, because there was pingpong on the ship and the ball flew threw the open window and into the ocean!

Oh I could not go near the railing..especially at night..we would walk outside..and all you see is black..but going near the railing would make me panic...

I mean..I would love to get over the fear..but I just can not...
