that's exactly what they are doing... they kinda have to... while they continue to change and remove things the long time fans lovedThey could be trying to appeal to younger audiences.

I mean that is what are trying to do although I don't think it'll work. They could be trying to appeal to younger audiences.
Just saw in the other thread that this stream starts after the presentation in person ends. So maybe it will be all of it and just a replay? If so then I don’t think Disney understands the meaning of the word “Live”Wild. And it starts an hour and a half after the event starts in person. So maybe they’re only streaming the part of the announcements that actually have something to do with Fortnight

I assume they mean it in the sense of playback in FORTNITE being an active broadcast at a set time, as opposed to something consumable on demand. It is, nevertheless, a bit disingenuous.Just saw in the other thread that this stream starts after the presentation in person ends. So maybe it will be all of it and just a replay? this is sooooo profoundly dumb that I dont even know where to start. Some streaming news?

My old self has no idea and quite frankly I don’t think I’d be able to stay awake through the whole thing even if I did. lolSooo...how do you watch something on Fortnite?
yep this is the wayIt's a recording of a live event.
Frankly, they should just prerecord the whole thing like an Apple event. The production value is higher, you are able to get an up close view of detailed images, and it's not as awkward.
I haven't played FORTNITE in over four years. Is this a straight video feed, or is it a giant screen in the sky that you have to watch while trying not to be killed by avatars of chaos? From Fortnite's website:
"If you can’t catch the stream live or just want to rewatch, Disney Horizons Live from D23 will be around until August 16, with the presentation on loop. To celebrate the announcements, all players who visit the island for 10 minutes will be granted the Peelverine Plush Back Bling* plus XP on August 16."
It will probably be a screen. There won’t be any weapons or anything, only people doing emotes.I haven't played FORTNITE in over four years. Is this a straight video feed, or is it a giant screen in the sky that you have to watch while trying not to be killed by avatars of chaos?
Just want to clarify that I liked your post because I appreciate the information, not because I think this is in any way a good idea.It will probably be a screen. There won’t be any weapons or anything, only people doing emotes.
The Fortnite avenue seems a bit weird and manipulative to me… and I enjoy both videogames and Disney!
Unless it is specifically edited to only include the FORTNITE-themed announcements, it's more like HBO showing a sizzle reel of all their upcoming shows in EverQuest.Think of it this way, they can promote the Disney area of Fornite to those who would actually go to it, and they can show off new Disney stuff in general to kids, teens, college age, or adults who play. If it's like the video, it looks like a recreation of the arena for D23. They could have Captain America fly in, or any other characters.
This would be like HBO showing a GoT/HotD video in EverQuest (I guess I am old, lol).
Yes, that's what this is. It is an advertisement. If you stay for 10 minutes you get XP and a gift.Unless it is specifically edited to only include the FORTNITE-themed announcements, it's more like HBO showing a sizzle reel of all their upcoming shows in EverQuest.
