Are you gonna do this to each of my music choices?

I happen to like Wishes. Yeah, it's corny, but I don't mind it here. I find it a vast improvement over other FitS soundtracks. My only gripe is that it needs attractions.

Believe me, it isn't intentional.

I certainly don't mean offense to anyone who really enjoys Wishes, either. I don't dislike it, it's just more of the same to me.

Whew, that's a load of research there. Much bigger playing field. Sounds interesting though. Ask me in a few weeks.

I suppose every single bit of soundtrack would be...well, a lot.

What we could do is center it on a specific genre, i.e Area BGMs, favorite queue music (I know what would win that one :lookaroun), favorite music that actually plays during the ride...

 Gotcha...Sorry if I jumped.

I usually have a strong attachment to the pyro shows, so...Wishes, being HUGE in scope and also having many personal memories tagged onto it gets bumped up for me.

Are you kidding? I was shocked that it wasn't way lower. It just defines generic Disney to me. It's pleasant, it's a little catchy, but it's just so uncreative, and indicative of how Disney presents itself nowadays. Wishes, dreams, magic, repeat. Blech.
I scored it just a tad higher simply because I scored it pretty high in the spirit category. I somewhat agree though that it is a bit generic, at least lyrically. Wishes, dreams, magic, etc; these are all ideals that have defined Disney from the start.

What's interesting about a scoring system like this is that it levels the playing field. Everyone has different tastes, different favorites, etc. Sure, we'll all score our favorites a little higher, but the strongest scores across the board are what counts.

It's also interesting when you start really scoring songs objectively, that you begin to see the strengths of the songs you dislike and the weaknesses of the songs you do like.

Here's some juicy tidbits for you:

- Excluding one panelist who ranked several songs tied at the top ranking, 14 different songs received a panelist's top ranking.

- 2 of those 14 songs that received a #1 ranking are not in the top 30.

- 3 of those 14 songs that received a #1 ranking have already been revealed in positions 16-30.

- The song that garnered the most #1 rankings is not the #1 song in the final standings.

O dear, I've said too much already. :zipit:

11-15 coming in a few.

Gee....Wonder who.:lookaroun:lol:

Very interesting, MD
Actually it might have been me. I'll need to check my sheet tonight to make sure. When I did this survey I tried to look at each song individually and rate it on its merits and not necessarily start with my favorite song, give it a perfect score, and then work my way down.

Anyone excited about the top 10? I have to say, looking at the list, I feel like I’m entering hallowed ground here.

8 of the top 10 songs received a panelist’s top ranking. 19 of the 25 panelists ranked one of the top 10 as their top pick. There were 17 perfect scores given to songs in the top 10.

We’ll cover 5-10 today, and close out the reveal tomorrow.

Something tells me that as well!

I actually would've thought that at least one of those two would have surpassed The Tiki Room... I guess in memrobility/timelessness, Tiki Room has bit of an advantage.

I didn't expect New Horizons to be at this level although it deserves to be. Don't care much for Tomorrow's Child and personally I love the Tiki room. Still excited about seeing Numero Uno.

Can't believe that Wishes and Tapestry of Nations were that high and I'm shocked that Promise was anywhere near the list.

ToN ranked higher than Listen to the Land, It's Fun to Be Free, the Universe of Energy songs and Canada. WOW!

Color me shocked too. Although, I love the Canada song, I still don't think it's that great of a song compared to most.

I'd say the "America" song from The American Adventure needs to be included in the countdown. I have a very sneaking suspicion that "Grim Grinning Ghosts" and "A Pirate's Life for Me" will be #2 and #1.

How could I forget "One Little Spark"? That needs to be Top 5... I'm also curious as to if "Hollywood" from The Great Movie Ride will give DHS 1 spot on the list.
