Countdown the Top 25 Walt Disney World Attraction Songs of All Time

It's kind of sad that sometime in the late 80s adding an immersive, coherent, and integrated music package into new theme parks went by the wayside. Never got rid of music altogether, but you could tell the Golden Age of "A Standout Song for Every Attraction" was long gone.

Yep.:( I think the tradition ended with The Living Seas...That never had a song, and nor did Wonders of Life.

I don't have my rankings in front of me, but I had Makin' Memories higher as it's one of my favorites. With that said, I was disappointed in myself for the song I ranked #1.

Same here.

Same here. In fact, I'm almost ashamed of myself...... :zipit: Kudos to MousDad's scoring, it made you really think about how you'd really rank each of these. I found myself trying to remember songs rather than play them and then grade them.
I suspect that the three of us may have picked the same #1. I guess we will have to wait and see.

It is not all that odd when you think about it. Aside from Fantasmic! what original music really sticks out from AK or DHS?

Huh, thats very true. :( I never really thought much about it, but as this list is revealed bit by bit, it becomes glaringly clear. I really can't think of anything from DHS or AK that I can hum as the day goes on... although the opening theme for MuppetVision comes to mind, but of course, that wasn't eligible for this ranking.

I'm really surprised Makin' Memories finished ahead of some of those other great EPCOT Center songs. And I'm absolutely stunned that Canada (You're A Lifetime Journey) didn't make the top 10, much less finish where it did.

Well, I just want to say that I was honored to be a part of this.

I think I'm one that scored things a bit higher too, so don't feel bad EE! :)

I had a lot of fun with this though and it's quite interesting to see where things are stacking up. So far though, I agree with the list, at least the majority of it anyway.

I'm a bit shocked at how far down "Veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit" is.
Sorry but I simply hate that song. You want to torture me for information, tie me in a chair and play that song full volume and I'll tell you anything you want to know.

Good not to be alone:lol:

I'm agreeing for the most part too, but Two Brothers is too low, IMHO.

 It's one of those ones that you hate to love and love to hate.

Interesting take! Looks like you were concurrent with the results, if not lower.

Welcome had only a few low scores, the rest pretty solid. Universe had more than a few in the 50/60 range.

I always get a kick out of this Energy song, kind of like it's the "love sonnet to Energy."
I have always felt the same way.

#18 woot woot

#16 is about right too. good song

I love the Energy song but it's Alkalies heel for me was the fact that it is so horribly dated where as the opening medley has a quality that will make it last forever.
I would agree with this. Havent they done a few versions/mixes of Welcome medley. I would say that is a sign of longevity.

At least in the Energy song they didnt mention prices of energy in 1982.

So far EPCOT Center has claimed almost all of the Top #25 to #16 slots. Interesting!
Yep. right on target for what im predicting. We know what is left.

C'mon... Listen to the Land better than Universe of Energy? Come on.

And get real, Dubbz, the number one song will be small world, if not that, then maybe Yo Ho.

I've always liked The Land more then UoE. It's just a more broader and more interesting pavilion to me.

The way things are going, I could see Yo-Ho, but IASW? I have a feeling it's going to be a EPCOT Song.
