Countdown the Top 25 Walt Disney World Attraction Songs of All Time

I'm actually kind of surprised IASW was THAT high...

I voted it very high... top 10... But it's a very basic song. Not much involved in the composition at ALL (hence the repetitive annoying reputation it has). I scored it very high in all the other categories... But just couldn't give it any credit for composition.

Before I counted any votes, I was expecting One Little Spark to win. I felt like It’s a Small World should win. And I was secretly wanted Golden Dream to win.

So when Yo Ho came out on top, I was definitely surprised – but pleasantly so. The more I think about it, though, the happier I am with that song as the winner. I think it really nails every category.

SINCEREST THANKS again to the panelists. I hope everyone has enjoyed this as much as I have.

Heh. Much of the same here. I wanted Tomorrow's Child or New Horizons to get it, however.

IASW seemed obvious, as well...But Yo Ho fits the bill like you said.

THANKS to you, too, MouseDad!:D :sohappy: It was a honor and a blast to be on this! :D

Dang I thought that Tapestry of Dreams would grab #1.

Seriously I think Yo Ho gets the top spot because of the films. Not saying that's a bad thing, but because of the three movies it is the most well known song on the list. Even without the movie, I think it would have been in the top 4, but I think the notiarity pushed it to the top. I am pretty sure that my top 4 was pretty close to the top 4 that ended up there.

In my opinion, there were some GREAT choices that didn't make the list and some very not so great choice that did make the list, but I guess that's what makes it interesting.

Awesome!!! Congrats for POTC as the # 1 song! :sohappy:

“Go with the Flow” (Finding Nemo the Musical)
“In the Big Blue World” (Finding Nemo the Musical)
“If You Had Wings” (If You Had Wings)
“Magic Journeys” (Magic Journeys)
“We Are Here to Change the World” (Captain EO)

Too bad these didn't make the cut. O well! Nice job! :D

Well, at least "Magic Journeys" retains its underrated status... :lookaroun  In all seriousness, it has one of the more complex, and ultimately satisfying, compositions.

I thought IASW would grab the top slot due to its timelessness, memorability, and spirit (compositionally, not that great... )... I can see how Yo Ho might slide into the number one spot, though. Good that TAGBBT made the top 5; that was one that may or may not have made it but for important historical reasons, it really should have.

Dude we know what the #1 song is going to be.

Digging in Dinoland!

:ROFLOL:
:D naahhh, Goofy's Barnstormers. I think i gave it a 25-30 across the board.

No way that song ever gets stuck in my head... for days. :D

Great list. Well done. I guess the only one I disagree with (which is ok, it just isnt my personal favorite), is the placement of Wishes. Like I said in a previous post, someplace around #20. I think #13-#20 squeak by. Ill have to check my notes.

But that is the beauty of it. It was a panel vote and this is the mean ("average" to those of you who think I'm referring to its attitude  ).

Nice job everyone.

Magic Jorneys is an extremely beautiful song. The only version of it is hopelessly dated though.

I'll double check, but I think it might be the only Sherman that didn't make the top 30.

I think the dated category really hurt a lot of great songs. I'm not saying that it shouldn't have been included in the ratings, but if this were done for movies, a lot of the films considered to be the best ever made would suffer the same fate because of the dated category.

Good point. This list makes no attempt at being dogmatic, but rather a reflection of the established criteria.

That is the one song that I had my Dad skip everytime he'd put the old EPCOT Center 33 on the turntable. Just never liked it. I can never decide if it was the actual song, or the memory of the movie (that I didn't care for) that tied it together in my distaste for it.

:sohappy:Great results on the list. One Little Spark should have been #2 in the first place. Just goes to show that Disney really neglected one of their best rides.

Agreed. Magic Journeys always creeped me out. Thankfully that one is in the Walt Dated World.
