This is the new design for all the McDonalds, over time. The one McDonalds in East Naples (Naples, FL) on the corner of US 41 and Collier Blvd has been changed to look like that.

The other McDonalds restaurants in North Naples are scheduled for the revamp real soon.

Funny how I just saw this article on our local newspaper's website. LOL

Call me crazy, but I still don't see why anyone would go to Disneyworld and eat at a McDonald's, given the plethora of options available.

Reminds me of the people who visit NYC and eat at Applebee's in Times Square.

I would rather enjoy a better quality burger on Disney grounds elsewhere than spend $$$ on one at a McDonalds on Disney grounds. Ugh.

You're right...totally doesn't make any sense.

Tell me where I can get a quality burger on Disney grounds, and I'll meet you there.

Seriously ... Fulton's (I think lunch menu only) ... by far the best burger at WDW, all for $9.99 (just went up a dollar) before 20% cast/AP or 30% DVC discount.

Dolphin Fountain (may have a new name now) would be second choice.

After that?

Go to the new Fuddrucker's in the Crossroads.

No way, the disney burgers are gross, I'd rather starve then eat them. McD's cheeseburgers actually taste like real meat and the fries are 10x's better.

While I am not a big McD's fan, at least stateside, I gotta agree with you.

I've yet to have a WDW quick serve burger that was better than edible. And since it's now about $12 for a burger, fries and Coke, I'd rather head off property if I want a burger.

And the McD's right near DAK on 192 at Black Lake Road has the dollar menu as well unlike the units that are on Disney property.

Cheeseburger - with choice of apple slices or fries - $6.99
Coke, Diet Coke, or Sprite - $2.49

Total - $9.48

We sure do like to exaggerate don't we?

Yes, but 74 was right about the quality of WDW burgers (and food in general nowadays). They are not very good. I actually prefer a McDonald's Quarter Pounder with Cheese for about half the price. And most everyone agrees McDonald's fries are very good.

It is not just about price, it is about quality. That is the theme running through many of 74's posts. Disney was never inexpensive, but you used to get high quality for your high price. Now you get mediocre food for your high price. He is 100% correct about that.

With you on Fuddrucker's - never tried the Fulton's, so need to check that out.

I'd also recommend the burger at Ragland Road. Lunch only (or request at dinner).

I just don't understand why people continue to eat that "food". Why on earth would you harm your body like that, let alone your kids. If you want a quick snack eat an apple or banana.

Eating out in general is not healthy, but most people get some enjoyment out of going out to eat, despite the fact that the food is high in fat and calories. Not everyone chooses to eat apples and bananas for their entire lives (and certainly not when on vacation). I realize eating at On the Border once a month is probably shortening my life by a few minutes, but I also go to the gym 5 times a week and there is something to be said for quality of life. If I could live to be 105 on apples and bananas or live to be 95 eating out once a week and going to the gym 5x/week, I'd choose the later.

It is sickening that baby back ribs with a side salad and a baked potato from Outback clocks in at 3500 calories, but it also tastes better than an apple or a banana...

Agreed, Kyle--

as for my daughter, her favorite item at either McDonald's or BK are the sliced apples (hold the dip)

I never would have suspected Fulton's, I'll have to go there sometime. And yeah, it's still The Fountain at the Dolphin. I've also quite enjoyed the burger at Beaches 'n' Cream. And yes, Fuddrucker's is always awesome.

Still need to try Raglan Road.

Not to drift too much, but has anyone tried the pizzas for lunch at Portobello?

Don't you have to add in sales tax, and whatever "tourism tax" Florida has come up with this week?

That might bring it a bit closer to $12, or at least $11

"This one goes to eleven!!":lol:

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot Pecos does have single burgers.

Doesn't change the fact that the quality of the burgers is in the toilet.

I thought I only did that in matters pertaining to size ...

Oh well, you got me $9.48 sure is a whole lot less than $12. Very reasonable when compared with McD's or anywhere else.

Now ... how much would that be for a double ... or adding bacon?

The point is Disney charges absurd prices for crappy food.
