Big changes for the McDonald's near All Stars

Well you know the whole talking hamburger and milkshake cup is just way too 80's (tic)

Besides... at least something on property is getting a good renovation, although it has nothing to do with the parks.
maybe mcdonalds co. is the one doing the actual renovations?

This doesn't mesh with the ongoing "McDonald's is outta here" opinion some are articulating on DTD. Why remodel one location to only close the other(s)?

I just have to ask.......why do we care what's happening with a McDonalds restaurant that happens to be close to the All Star resorts? What does it have to do with WDW?

Well, I think maybe mentioned earlier in the thread, it's one of the few places we know of upgrades/improvements going on in the World... even if not really Disney doing them... I'm being a little sarcastic, but only a little.

I report on anything at WDW property that might be of interest to visitors to the site and WDW. If you arent intersted, dont read the news item and dont read the thread.

To answer your question though, "What does it have to do with WDW?". That's a fairly obvious answer, it's on WDW property and primarily WDW guests visit it.

Ok, but then there are other places onsite that aren't Disney owned, too. What about the gas stations that are on site? Primarily WDW guests visit those too. Why don't you post articles when one of those gas stations gets a new flavor of bubble gum in, or starts carrying or discontinuing a certain beverage? We have a right to know!!!!

Seriously, stop being an idiot. Steve can put up whatever he deeps relevant here, because this is his site. Please stop arguing about nothing, for all our sakes.

Besides, the architecture looks rather well done, anyway.

There is no gum for sale on Disney property

I must say that was a brilliant placement for that comment, RAXIP.

To DisneyJunkie, c'mon, give Steve a break. Its his site; he can put whatever news and info he wants on it.

And for the record, we have gotten updates about when areas on property have gotten new beverages (and you'd be surprised at the discussions that have ensued.) I have no problem with info like that being placed on here. I think Steve runs a very tight ship here and I appreciate the information and news that he posts on this site. :)

I wouldn't say asking a legitimate question is being an idiot. I would say some of the responses I've been getting from it have been idiotic, though. I'm well aware that Steve can post whatever he wants. I was just curious about why he'd post about a Mcdonalds renovation. There was no argument. Please stop trying to cause trouble, for all our sakes.

*SIGH*....... it was a simple, legitimate question. I love this site and I'm grateful to Steve for having it and posting all his information. I'm not meaning to give a hard time, I was just curious about it. I'd post the same kind of question on a Six Flags site if I saw someone posting information about a nearby gas station that was renovating its men's room.

Yep I've reported on all the refurbs of the Hess gas stations in the past. If it goes on at WDW and I know about it, I'll report it. Feel free to skip info that you arent interested in, nobody is forcing you to read it.

I don't know, you'd have to ask Steve about why he posted this, but off the top of my head, I'd say its because a) it's on Disney property, b) it's a fairly extensive refurbishment, c) it's McDonald's, which relates to the ongoing story about McDonald's prescence at WDW. Its something happening at WDW, so, why not post it?

Considering we post about new drinks that are available and the availability of honey mustard as a condiment, this really isn't that bad (not that those other things aren't inportant! :lookaroun).

EDIT: Oh, I see Steve answered for himself before I did. Carry on then!
