Anyone else not a fan of "Soarin'"?

They should make it "Soarin Over the World and Under the Sea!" Just kidding but still. Like you take off and go to various famous places like the pyramids and eiffel tower but in between those you go to the great coral reef and other places. That sounds cool to me and it would do better for transitions.

the ride is not bad, but just like everything new at Disney they make it seem like something so great and spectacular that when you ride it you expect more.

We waited in the line the 1st time we ever rode it, now its fast pass only or if its raining and just want to stay dry.

I'm a Disney fan and love most of the parks and rides, but I just don't get Soarin' and have no desire to ride it ever again after trying it twice. Maybe I never felt the "flying" sensation properly? I remember the wind effect and scents, and that was nice, but I can't understand why it seems to be many people's favorite ride. I was actually quite disappointed with it and was glad I had a FP and didn't waste a lot of time in line.

No one in my family can really understand the hype this ride gets. It think its a good-to-great ride, but not one i'd be willing to wait 2 hours for. If we do it (and we almost always do it the first day we go to EPCOT and then not again on our trip) we FP it, and even then there is quite a wait.

One of my biggest issues with the ride is it's lack of a themed queue. I'm hard pressed to think of another queue area that has less theming than Soarin.

I also do not like this ride, its very blah lol thats all i can say. I think the food rocks show was better. Oh well i guess the non thrill seekers need their rides too.

LOL As I was reading through this thread, the Disney internet radio station I have on started playing the Soarin' music! :ROFLOL:Good timing!

The music is my favorite thing about Soarin'. I do like the ride, alot actually, it's up there on my "favorite things in WDW" list. I don't ride it much, though, since the line is always so long, even though I go to Epcot once a week.

AMEN! I was excited to ride this ride but by the time I actually got to the freaking ride I was so annoyed with the queue and the wait time that I didn't really get into the ride.

First you wait in on that stupid ramp and play the games for like 15 or 20 minutes - talk about your feet getting tired just standing there packed in like sardines.

Then you get past that point to some under ground tunnel looking place - you wait there another 10 or 15 minutes.

Then you finally get to the ride where they have you stand and watch a video and wait another 5 or 10 minutes.

It is beyond stupid and by the time I got on the ride my feet and legs were tired.

So...I'm guessing not a fan, eh? :)

I like the ride. Never had to wait long either though. I usually go late May or early October and walk right in. I guess if I had to wait an hour it might not be worth it. Of course I stood in line for 2 hours at Universal when the MIB ride opened. Boy was I disappointed.
