Anyone else not a fan of "Soarin'"?

Are there rumors? I was under the impression that it was one of the more themed lands.

yes, it was a rumor for Phase 2. In fact, I remember seeing concept art for it. The plan was to extend the national park theme from the Grizzly Peak area, transform the rest of the area into a forest.

Their's is also mostly back-and-forth queue lines outside. The part that you see in those pictures is just before you board.

actually there is another tunnel you go through before you board. the main hallway entrance features propellers and other aviation artifacts as well as history of CA aviation/pilots.

Nope, I'm with you. It's a decent attraction, but for the attention it gets it's highly overrated.

It's problems are easy to fix however. All that's needed is a coherent story and less jumping from one place to another.

Personally, Soarin' could really improve for me if they would clean the darned screen and film.

A dusty screen and spots on the film really messes with the illusion.
I have always wished for 2 separate films. I think the storyline jumping from location to location would be nice on one (a new one at that), and then a different film on the adjacent side.

I guess I could see a problem if one film is far superior to the other and they wouldnt have the option to open both sides for crowd control.

As someone mention, make that bad boy HD.

The video just needs to be updated. I mean its a cool concept but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to reprogram the ride periodically to keep it things different.

Also ^ DL's entrance looks tons better than Orlando's.

I am not a big fan of RnRC, so here is what I do, I don't ride it. I would never suggest that it change by taking out the loops that scare me to death, or turn down the music so I can hear myself scream. I don't get the whole idea that if someones doesn't like a certain ride that there is something wrong with the ride and therefore it must change. If I don't like something I avoid it knowing full well that others may have a different opinion than mine. So go ahead and let me have it, but I like Soarin'.

great post!

Fastpass doesn't really always mitigate the wait time though. Some are so quick to say "Fastpass it" and in reality, that line can be long too and the wait is still 30+ minutes. Granted, that's far shorter than 120 minutes, but still.

I agree, but fastpass has never let me down on soarin. I normally go late July and it's pretty crowded. There are probably only a few times in the year where it's more crowded, and we usually just fly by the line right to the junction. I've seen standby times in the summer get up to 2 hours.
