Anyone else not a fan of "Soarin'"?

For me the ride is just Ok.
I think it's definitely overated, and the only time I rode it, I felt as if I HAD wasted time...a 50 minute wait... in the FP line no less!

and then I had to deal with my mother, who hates movie rides, and heights...and will NEVER ever let me forget that I "made her go on Soarin'!"

I probably won't get the chance to ride it again, as the other person I would be travelling to WDW with also hates heights, and has already expressed his fear that the ride will be too much for him to take..

First you wait in on that stupid ramp and play the games for like 15 or 20 minutes - talk about your feet getting tired just standing there packed in like sardines.

At that area of the queue it's 8' wide. Most other queue's are around 3' wide. And I don't know of a queue where you get to sit the entire time so I guess I don't understand this comment.

I enjoy the ride, I hate heights so i have to request the lower row of seats. Its a good idea but i think they should have made the one in epcot about sorin' over florida or something. it makes no sense to have a ride about cali when your in florida. Its a ride I do all the time im there because my mom LOVES it so I do it for her but its nothing that excites me too much. :snore:

I enjoy the attraction but it's possibly the worst queue on property and I can't stand that it's always got at least a 45 minute wait

Fast pass :).

I always get there when the park opens, get a Soarin fast pass, then go to test track, mission space, and then whatever else I can get in, and then I hit Soarin. The parks usually don't get too crowded until around 10:30 or 11:00 anyway, so you can usually do TT & MS with a relatively short wait.

Fastpass doesn't really always mitigate the wait time though. Some are so quick to say "Fastpass it" and in reality, that line can be long too and the wait is still 30+ minutes. Granted, that's far shorter than 120 minutes, but still.

They have a ride about Mexico in Florida.
They have a ride about Norway in Florida.
They have a ride about Mars in Florida.
They have a ride about Nepal in Florida.
They have a ride about Africa in Florida.
They have a ride about Hollywood Hotel in Florida.

Besides, I'd much rather soar over California than Florida.

When Epcot has Soarin' Over the World and so does California then we'll have the upper hand.:p

I like Soarin, but have only been on Soarin once in the past 3 years. This is mostly due to a) the huge queues and b) my wife is under the impression it goes really high up and is scared of heights!

I am not a big fan of RnRC, so here is what I do, I don't ride it. I would never suggest that it change by taking out the loops that scare me to death, or turn down the music so I can hear myself scream. I don't get the whole idea that if someones doesn't like a certain ride that there is something wrong with the ride and therefore it must change. If I don't like something I avoid it knowing full well that others may have a different opinion than mine. So go ahead and let me have it, but I like Soarin'.
