... hi wom
they taunt us with Horizons......
The popularity of a remake doesnât even have to be tied to nostalgia. Iâve never seen the original Aladdin (although hubby says we still have a VHS copy and the kids watched it a thousand times), and yet I saw the live action version at the theatres six times this summer.
It wasnât nostalgia pulling me back into the theatres, it was a visually stunning movie, likeable characters, great acting, catchy tunes, and mostly Will Smithâs portrayal of Genie.
Iâve since seen dozens of side by side comparisons of Robin Williamsâ Genie to Will Smithâs Genie on YT, and Iâll say it again ... Robin who?
My opinion. Doesnât have to be yours.

Scene by scene Genie comparisons, added to the fact that Iâm not at all a Robin Williams fan.Not sure you can have a valid opinion on comparing actors performance with out seeing the original...
The real question is: Will there come a point where you no longer feel the sacrifice is worth it? That's hard to say for anyone.I will always be able to afford Walt Disney World. I'll sacrifice whatever it takes to keep some tier of AP
Yes it's a great gig to have on the weekend. Come on WDWMagic and troll the "purists" with fresh opinions and perspectives that make their closed minded heads explode!
You live in Orlando...thatâs not who theyâre pricing the place for. How about $2000...no Florida rates?I will always be able to afford Walt Disney World. I'll sacrifice whatever it takes to keep some tier of AP
27 from Orlando...itâs a completely ridiculous thing to affirm at that age and situation. The real question is: Will there come a point where you no longer feel the sacrifice is worth it? That's hard to say for anyone.

Itâs tough to reclaim a remake...straight up...as âsuperiorâScene by scene Genie comparisons, added to the fact that Iâm not at all a Robin Williams fan.
Said it was my opinion. Didnât say it was an informed one.
Good thing I donât actually care about anyone elseâs opinion of my opinion.
Probably going to get raked over the coals again for this opinion, but the animation style of the original looks flat and lacking depth to me - especially compared to the rich colours and textures, and amazing âmovementâ in Moana and Coco.
I just know, personally, I get closer and closer to that point each year when I'm planning our trips.27 from Orlando...itâs a completely ridiculous thing to affirm at that age and situation.
Honestly...as does anyone that identifies themselves as in the middle tier and has children, responsibilities, commitment and life experience does...I just know, personally, I get closer and closer to that point each year when I'm planning our trips.
Live it up...Me too! That's why I love living here!! Living the dream as long as possible â

Originality does matter.
Iâm glad you enjoyed the movie though.
Ok...but you just completely undercut the âIâll always have an annual passâ argumentOh absolutely agreed 100%! I am NOT the typical guest and I am so blessed I dont have to worry about the extra expenses.
Could be a revival of the Enchanted Forest concept they had in the 90s. Would also explain why Mary Poppins would only just get the Carousel too.
Not anymore. They built a tent on it.Anyone think this has a real possibility?
