American Idol: Season 8!

I'm not a fan of tatoo's period, but big ones like that covering most of her arm and feet are :hurl:. I tried to like the "unique" voice, but over the past few weeks it was just shrieky with plenty of bad notes. She acted like a 5 y/0 making faces behind Seacrest.

I agree she had a real pretty face, attractive figure, but movement was at best gawky...and the show, I guess three weeks ago when all she did was shake her ....

It was her time to go...maybe past time.

I must have missed the shaking. All I remember is the funny dance when she'd shake her hips.

It was when she was wearing this dress:

You could tell the guys were thinking about commenting on it, but held back.
Sad thing was that that even looked more awkward than $exy...:(

Just watched this week's shows [was in England all week], I am surprised to say it but I disagreed with the judges on Lil! I actually thought she sang really well this week [for the first time - I 'got' her].

I hated Scott's performance, I thought his pacing was off and his deviations from the original weren't inspired they were just awkward and awful.

Cute as she was, Megan was long overdue to leave. I think she had realized it a few weeks ago.

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL: Too funny, Monty! After this week's show, I was thinking that you and I would finally agree on how bad Lil was and now you said you enjoyed it. I thought she was horrible this week.

And, I thought this was Scott's best. Is something happening as the broadcast crosses international lines? ;)

Oh, was she doing that? I sort of thought they were doing it all on their own.

:ROFLOL:

I honestly can't say Erika....I don't profess to know the girls well enough to say who is controlling what....
Just know there was some real motion there....:zipit:

I guess either adding the CTV logo to hide the Fox one distorts the signal or you and I have glaringly different tastes!

Must be a P vs. PK thing... We both sit in the same church listening to the same choir, but you're always closer so your perspective is different!

I actually enjoyed the ballad portion at the beginning much better than I normally do with Lil. Her 'belting' at the end wasn't as good as usual. With Scott, I honestly find him off-key, poorly paced [he could benefit from having a metronome on the piano] and un-inspiring. His 'challenge' is all that has got him this far [not that that isn't impressive], and unlike Paula I think it has everything to do with his still being here.

Tonight's show has the contestants singing songs from the year of their birth. I'm not sure where they are getting the lists of songs to choose from. But if you click THIS and scroll down to the bottom there is a part with "Top 100 Song/Top 100 Hits."

If you're bored, click on the year you were born (only goes back to 1950) and list the song YOU would choose if you were on American Idol.

My choice...
1981 - Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield

I've always loved that song.

1954 - Hey, There by Rosemary Clooney

I have no idea what song he picked, but Adam had better pick a Guns N' Roses song.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought he was younger than that.

Gotta give him his due, Adam gave his best performance BY A MILE tonight. No annoying screaming and a perfect song choice. I am in shock. Up until this point he was no better than Sanjaya in my mind, but this was fantastic tonight. Matt G and Adam were the best tonight.
