Yes!!!!! He definitely needs to go - if he can't handle the pressure, he's not Idol material. And it was just plain cocky of him to tell the band to go, considering it was he himself who was not prepared, not them!

I agree. I could not believe he sent the band away.

I've been thinking about the whole Josiah thing, and I think they probably gave him all that air time last night to justify not putting him in the final 24. He really crashed and burned last night, and had people not seen that, they would be outraged if he were not chosen.

Just my theory.....

No. I totally agree with you Betty.

And, the winner is.... BETTY! :sohappy:

And Josiah proved my point tonight--did anyone see a tear when he was "crying"? It's all an act that only carried him so far.

I'm happy with the 24. My fave going in right now is Syesha.

Great pix. Great to see them string a few of the highlights from the auditions along and dump them because they weren't good enough.

16 year old kid may win. Love his attitude. Just happy to be there. America LOVES those contestants.

Rocker Nurse, great pick as well.

I think it's pretty clear who will be slapped out of the way before they get to the top 12.

I felt bad for him too. I really thought he'd make it. Especially since they showed a lot of him.

All in all, though, I'm very happy with the final 24. All the ones I wanted to make it did. So that's good news.

That's true.

Mine is David!

Another good thing is that there seem to be no Sanjayas in the field at this point or that we know of. Everyone seems to be a high quality voice.

I like the Lynyrd Skynyrd guy who sang "Simple Man" at his first audition. The Australian guy is pretty good, too. The wife likes the 16 year old kid.

Dipping into the shallow end of the pool for a moment, the top 12 women have to be the most physically attractive top 12 in show history. :lookaroun

I'm happy with the top 24, except for two things...

My cowboy didn't make it!!
And I really don't care for the nurse.

There are a few guys and girls who I don't recognize at all.
When they got through, I'm like...who are you??

I know! I hardly recognized any of the guys (except for David).

In past years, contestants from the top 24 who didn't advance have complained about that...the producers definitely spend more time on certain contestants, as if they want to be sure viewers have them in their minds.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything, but it doesn't seem fair to me that this early on in the season certain contestants get full montages and others get a 1-second clip at the end of the episode (where we don't even get to hear them sing!). Tonight, for most of the "montage" contestants, we heard the performances from last night's episode again, yet others we did not hear from at all this week.

Next week these kids will need all the screen time they can get so they stand out from the pack. Unfortunately, it's going to be harder for some because they were hardly shown during auditions and Hollywood week.

For the record, I like David Hernandez (don't get why Simon said he wouldn't stand out...he was a natural on the stage), and Syesha (that girl could still sing, even with laryngitis - plus, I love her personality).

My son's GF was in a production with Colton Berry back in VA. She says he's quite talented - I wish they had shown more of his audition.
