I think Carly bringing the shirt last night did her in. We shall she.
Also, she could eat crow by saying moving forward I'm singing nothing but fun songs....she is assuming...what happens when you assume?

I disagree. VFTW has not had a good track record this season--I think Brooke is their fourth person to be headlining; other people have been consistently voted off.
Brooke got the sympathy vote from America last night. She screwed up, she stood on stage and took her medicine, she made no excuses, she stayed. Carly has been on shaky ground for a number of weeks now.
I'm happy.

votefortheworst.com is only helping AI rather than ruining it. By keeping on bad contestants, and helping good ones go early, they're only making the show more dramatic and less predictable. Bottom line is, they suck. :lol:

Well, I for one am disappointed. I know many of you didn't care for Carly, but I thought she was one of the more talented contestants this year. I however, would have to agree that she didn't pick very good songs...and that kind of killed her.
I don't think it was the shirt that did her in...I think it was the fact that she didn't have the fan base to push her b/c of her poorish song choices of late. And that, to me, is very disappointing.
Although, I know she will do well in her career. She has an amazing voice.
Now...Jason I still have no idea why he's there except for the fact that a lot of teenage girls think he's cute. That's all I got. And I have to agree with what you all are saying about David A. He really has a great voice to me, but very little personality, besides what appears to be humble. But he doesn't shine personalitywise to me as some of the others have.
I usually do well in picking American Idol winners...this year, I'm not so sure. I think David Cook really might win this thing now. He really is the dark horse.

Me too, I totally got that wrong about tonight. I just knew that Jason or Brooke would be gone. That was a shocker but I was ready for Carly to go too. I think Jason or Brooke will get it next week.
I really think that it is going to come down to the two Davids, and I hope that David Cook wins it. I really like him.:animwink:
Ugggghhh. How is Travolta-boy still there? Simon was dead on with his critique, and Jason really should have been the one to go. As for the others:
Brooke - yeah, false start. But there's still something about her I like.

David C. - awesome. Best performance of the night. Made me want to get out my ipod and listen to Phantom all over again.
I was looking forward to this week ever since I heard Andrew Lloyd Webber was going to be a mentor. I thought it was great, but I don't think AI will ever do it again. The last time they did a Broadway week it was bad, mostly because of the lack of recognition of the songs. They fixed that this time by bringing in ALW, but the songs are too difficult for the contestants. Combine that with a lot of viewers not knowing/liking the genre, and you get bored viewers.
Not at all looking forward to next week.
