I'm thinking Carly will go home on Thursday....her performance was just odd, in my opinion.

Does anyone plan on watching all 2 1/2 hours of Idol Gives Back tomorrow?

Last year, they didn't boot anyone during Idol Gives Back week. I think they just accumulated the vote totals between that week and the next week to determine the contestant headed home.

However, if they do decide to axe someone this week, Carly and Carly's Stupid Tattoo are definitely the top candidates. This theme was in Brooke's sweet spot, and she delivered a pimp-spot worthy performance. Jason's performance was interesting, Kristy looked fantastic and actually sang well (!), and Michael had the best song ("Dream On") of the lot. We all know the Davids aren't leaving anytime soon.

Going home this week: No one.
Going home next week: Carly, Carly's Stupid Tattoo, or Syesha.

They are having a Thursday results show...Ryan mentioned it tonight.
As far as who is going home...I'm not sure...I want Kristy Lee to FINALLY leave but I'm not so sure it will be her since she did pretty good tonight...eh I guess we'll find out Thursday..

I forgot to mention that I missed Syesha's and Michael Johns' performances, although I heard there was an issue with him arguing or something....were either of them that bad?

I know a lot of you guys don't like him, but I'm glad Jason did well tonight. I really think that he's good enough and has been consistent enough to make it to 4th or 5th place.

I don't know why they fawned all over Kristy. IMO, Martina is akin to Whitney, in that contestants shouldn't attempt to sing her songs unless they can outdo her (which they never can). It was an OK performance, but it paled in comparison to Martina's version. That, and I just want her to go :D.

Oh, and I suppose I'm a pessimistic and rotten person, David Cook holding out his hand with "give back" on it seemed a bit over the top, does anyone agree?

Anyway, back to working on my Master's Project (I can see the finish line :sohappy:)

I agree. I thought she did well with it...but she in no way blew me away. I was surprised she hit the high note, but it didn't just make me go....WOW!

Michael and Syesha both did a good job, but Randy seemed to be in a y mood last night and didn't like them. Even Paula told Randy to shut up about the "pitchy" problems in the songs. Maybe Randy just had an off night.

Kristy did do her best job last night. And, I agree with what's been said so far...I think Carly goes home on Thursday night.

OMG :ROFLOL:

Ok, if this is too much just let me know (but you can find it again at dlisted.com :lookaroun )

Will the American Idol producers please ban Kristy Like :lookaroun Cook :lookaroun from singing songs about America or God! PLEASE! Last night, she sang Anyway by Martina McBride. The moment she opened her lips and she sang, "God is great..." I knew millions were putting their bibles away and reaching for their rotary telephones to somehow find a way to vote for Kristy Lee. They might have even driven their Chevy Chevettes down to the Piggly Wiggly to use a touch-tone phone.
If this ho wins, I swear I will tattoo "Kristy Lee Cook is the greatest ****** of all time" on my ______. She will be the greatest ****** of all time if she pulls off this win.

Last night was truly a night of bores. Sappy song after sappy song. It's episodes like this that I wish Danny Noriega was still around. He would have sang "Material Girl" as his inspiration song.

So, let's get to my bottom 3:

Syesha Mercado - Believe by Fantasia? I believe you are going home Syesha thanks to that song selection. I mean...
Carly Smithson - These people need to stop doing Queen songs! Just stop!
Brooke White - I'm totally getting sick of her "oh, I'm sorry" pout and frown.

I think it's Syesha's turn to take Kristy Lee's bullet. Elimination won't actually happen until Thursday night. The 10-hour long Idols Give Back is tonight. Pass me the ****** crackers. This is going to be a cheese-fest.

Below is Jason Castro's lovely lullaby that had me reaching for the bong and craving pineapple kabobs.

I don't know why everyone thinks Kristy is so good looking. She's "ok" but nothing fantastic. My husband thinks the same. He thinks Brooke is prettier and I agree. What is the fascination with her? I mean, people talk about her like she's Carrie Underwood. No comparison in my opinion.

I still want to see Brooke go on, but her performance wasn't as good as others she's done in the past. hmmmm. Hope she stays.

Kristy is generically pretty, I think it's just that she's the youngest white blonde girl on the show that has a select few going gaga over her :lookaroun

Anyway, I think I'll be skipping tonight's show :lookaroun :o

^ I have the exact opposite reaction.
I'm devestated that he got voted off.
I really liked him.
And he did not deserve to get voted off before Kristy and Syeshia.

Darn it. My cousin told me Idol was on at 9 so I watched the Phillies game and Survivor at 8, turned on fox at 9 and it wasn't on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I missed it!

Who was in the bottom 3 besides Michael of course? Thanks

I am shocked that Michael is gone. he was good! Kristy definitely should have gone first.

Syesha and Carly...I thought for sure Carly was going to go.

What I thought was terrible was that after telling Carly and Syesha they were safe, Ryan said, "As you know, last year we didn't send anyone home during Idol Gives Back Week.....(long pause) this week, we're saying goodbye to Michael Johns" (not an exact quote, but close).

They deliberately pretended they weren't going to send him home, then did it anyway. Bad form. Why taunt him? Just send him home already.

Way too early for him. He was so inconsistent in the beginning, but had put together a few good weeks. I feel badly, because Kristy and Syesha definitely should have gone first.

I couldn't agree with you more on all accounts of your post.

It was so horrible what they did to him. Oh, last year, we kept the last place person in...this year...nope. Not gonna do it. :fork: How ignorant!

I'm am truly saddened he's gone. I thought he was very talented. Unfortunately, he hadn't picked the right songs in the beginning, but I thought he was getting better at picking better songs. Oh well. :(

Yeah, I wasn't sure why Ryan felt the need to say, "Last year..." It's not last year. So, don't even talk about what you did then. Talk about pouring salt into a fresh wound.

Whatever, Kristy and Syesha definitely should have left first.
