I haven't watched a full ep. of this show since a certain someone was voted out, but I'm a big Mariah fan so I decided to tune in. Anyways what I want to say is who does that Kristy chick think she is. I thought she was really good until she opened up her snotty little mouth afterwards acting like she is the 2nd coming. It was like *#@!$ please...

So, to all my fellow David C. people, who else cried besides me :o

*waits in line to buy David Cook album*

He was awesome! So was Jason and David A.
I love Mariah songs so I loved every choice tonight.

Didn't like Carly or Kristy's performances.

Brooke is still my fav, but she didn't hit all the notes and that was tough for her. But I had no idea what she would choose this week because I didn't think any song of MC's really worked with her voice/range/style.

I actually thought Brooke did great. I was surprised by the negativity. That's her sound (even the couple of small missed notes) so I thought she did great putting her sound to Mariah.

But David C., oh my, I was determined I wasn't going this year when the tour came around... but I may have to change my mind! This may end up surpassing my "fondness" for Bo Bice  He had been my favorite up until now.

*sorry Bo*

I just don't get David Cook. My wife and I both thought it was ungood.

Brooke missed a lot of chords in her piano playing tonight. Not that she's being judged on her playing, but I'm sure in her mind she knew what was happening and that might have affected her on singing concentration (and her song was in the key of C, in case anyone was wondering...).

Liked both of the Davids a lot. Brooke was not in her element, and her nerves were showing big time. I think Ayesha is better than she is getting credit for. Christie gave her best performance yet IMO. Carly was OK. I'm getting bored with Jason.

I s'pose you do have to just simply "get it" with any artist. That's why there's something for everyone's taste in music (not on Idol, but in life in general). David's not for everyone, but for those of us that "get him", he is phenomenal.

I thought David C. was amazing as well. Who knew that you could make a song like "Always Be My Baby" sound like that? Jason's arrangement was interesting as well. I guess maybe this year's contestents weren't as bad as I once thought...

Christy - pretty good.
Brooke - Really liked tonight.
Dave (younger) - Will he ever not be boring as hell?
Dave (older) - Changing the gender of the object of the song doesn't make it revolutionary. I thought this was hacktacular. I really expected him to hit it opposite field, but it was just a slight curve.
Carly - Maybe the first time I didn't think she was awful.
Dreads guy - I can't get past the Travolta with too many cotton balls down his pants image. He is really really boring.
I missed the other chick.

Oh -- and this was the quickest viewing of AI EVER. Never had to FF so quickly on TiVo through the practices. How much coffee does Carey drink??? For singing so good, her speaking voice swists my middle to upper spine in a way that makes me want to pull out my own hair.

Mariah makes my ears bleed.
I was expecting the worst show ever.
With that said, I think every one did a great job.
Brooke was the weakest this week IMO.

The trifecta for me would be Bolten, Striesand, Carey.
That would stroke me out.

I thought it sucked that they all sang Mariah songs...remember last year, when Gwen Stefani and Martina McBride mentored, they just guided...and the song catalog wasn't all theirs? Anyhoo. That aside, I really felt like when I was watching David Cook last nite, I was watching the performance that would make him a star. ALTHOUGH-anyone remember watching Chris Daughtry sing Live's arrangement of "I Walk the Line" thinking the same thing and then he came in 4th? But, I guess, who's laughing now because Daughtry is awesome and Taylor Hicks who? Anyways, I thought David C was amazing. David Archuletta still makes me want to jab toothpicks in my eyes. I am over Jason and Kristy and sort of getting there with Syesha. I didn't think Carly was as bad as the judges told her she was and I thought Brooke has had better performances but it wasn't the worst all nite. Brooke really needs to do something different to set herself apart. All of her performances are starting to blend together to me. Anyways. Good, quick show. :sohappy:

I'm sorry, but the girls just stunk last night. I don't really like Jason (I can't help but think of Pipi Longstockings whenever I see him), but even he was better than the girls. Brooke is so annoying, I have to hit "mute" as soon as she is done b/c I can't stand the "I know, it's ok" over and over. :hammer: Syeisha is way too high on herself, Carly, to quote Randy, is "just ok", and Kristy should have gone weeks ago.

David C and David A are the only decent ones. I would pick David C to win, hands down.
