And that's why Ryan Seacrest is FREAKIN' AWESOME. He really made that show tonight. She would have ran of stage if not for him. I don't understand why people have negative feelings towards the guy. He's great.

What did come about is her Drunk Driving though...

Liked her til hearing about that. Something about almost dying myself after being hit by a drunk driver now makes her my least favorite person on the show. Even below the snotty horse chick.

The boots on the guys side were deserved.

If the girls who got the boot had sung the versions they sang today when it counted, they'd still be in the competition. Alaina sold "Hopelessly Devoted to You". Let this be a lesson to current and future contestants: when you're singing an emotional, longing, wistful song (and there are plenty of them), pretend like Ryan has just said your journey's over.

Amanda's song has to be one of the worst vocals I've ever seen on AI. We rewound the DVR just to watch the train wreck once again. I can't stand her.

Overall I was happy everyone that left except for Alaina. I think it should have been Kady. I'm glad Amanda gets another shot but if she doesn't tone down the hair and outfit and pick a better song next week she may be in trouble.:shrug:

"A.I." finalist Amanda Overmyer pleaded guilty to DUI back in October 2006 near her hometown of Mulberry, In.

She received a suspended sentence of 60 days and was placed on 180 days probation, which ended in August 2007.

According to the National Enquirer, on the night of her arrest Overmyer had a blood alcohol level of 0.108 and spent six hours in the Montgomery County Jail before her fiancé posted her bail.

"A.I." finalist Amanda Overmyer pleaded guilty to DUI back in October 2006 near her hometown of Mulberry, In.

She received a suspended sentence of 60 days and was placed on 180 days probation, which ended in August 2007.

According to the National Enquirer, on the night of her arrest Overmyer had a blood alcohol level of 0.108 and spent six hours in the Montgomery County Jail before her fiancé posted her bail.

Not cool....and remember she got into an accident this season, during Hollywood week, I think (if I'm wrong, go easy on me...this is my first day doing "normal" things after my surgery and I'm still kind of woozy from my trusty Lortabs). She was joking about pulling out in front of a truck and getting into an accident. I don't find that funny at all...especially now knowing her history.

Totally agree...Ryan really helped Alaina pull it together just enough...I thought he did amazing with her.

And she was one I didn't think should go yet...so I was in as much shock as she was.

I didn't think it was Robbie's time yet either.

And that just makes me think...Vote For the Worst is back again...and it's working again. :fork: I really hate them. Because the other two should have gotten the boot.

Personally, I was very upset over the elimination of Alaina. I thought she did a pretty good job with "Hopelessly Devoted to You."
She was one of my favorites.

However, I'm totally fine with Jason, Alexandrea, and Robbie going home. Wasn't attached to any of them in the slightest.

Right now, the only guy I like is David Archcuelta. I don't think he's anywhere near as good as the judges praise him to be, but I do think he's a pretty talent guy.
Out of the girls, I like Asia'h, Kristy, and Syesha.

Very! I think a lot of people are hating on him because he's gay and he's not afraid to show it. IMO he's a much better singer and performer than the other two guys who got the boot.

Strip Club: 'Idol' Once Danced Here

"American Idol" contestant David Hernandez once entertained audiences by removing his clothes instead of singing tunes, a manager at a male strip club in Phoenix told The Associated Press.
The 24-year-old finalist from Glendale, Ariz., once worked as a stripper at ________'s Cabaret, appearing fully nude and performing lap dances for the club's "mostly male" clientele, club manager Gordy Bryan said Monday.
"He had the look and the type that people like, so he made pretty good money here," Bryan said.
It's not clear whether a history as a stripper could disqualify Hernandez from the competition. In 2003, finalist Frenchie Davis was dismissed because of her appearance on an adult Web site; but last year, Antonella Barba remained in the competition after racy photos of her surfaced on the Internet.
Fox spokeswomen Jill Hudson did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment Monday.
According to Bryan, Hernandez steadily worked at the club for three years until September 30, 2007.
"He never renewed his licensing with the state, so he hasn't been on my roster since then," Bryan said.
Bryan said he was aware that Hernandez was a vocalist, but that Hernandez never sang at the club. Bryan said he now believes Hernandez stopped working at the club because of his participation in "American Idol." Hernandez has never been referred to as a stripper or former stripper during the Fox singing competition.
Rumors of a stripper past — along with photos of a scantily clad Hernandez working as a bartender at gay nightclub Burn — were first posted last week on VoteForTheWorst.com, a site that encourages "Idol" viewers to vote for "the bad and truly entertaining contestants."
"It was like moths to a flame," said VoteForTheWorst.com founder Dave Della Terza. "As soon as I posted that, we started getting 10, 20 letters every single day from people saying, 'Yeah, he's a stripper in Phoenix.'"
Terza and other members of VoteForTheWorst.com community scoured MySpace, Photobucket and other social networking and photo sharing sites to find information and images of Hernandez. Terza said he contacted the club to confirm the Internet chatter, but they never got back to him.
"They said they couldn't give me a statement before talking to their lawyers," said Terza.
Hernandez, who originally auditioned for "Idol" in San Diego on July 30, 2007, is in the Fox singing competition's top 16 contestants. Last week, he earned rave reviews from the judges after his performance of The Temptations' "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." He is scheduled to perform with the other male contestants on Tuesday's show.

We'll see if they boot him from the show for this one...:shrug:
