American Idol: Season 7!!

Quick Rundown

Luke: Dull. There's really nothing that stands out with him. Other than his dullness, of course. He's really workin' that.

David A: The kid's got talent.

Danny/Sanjaya: Very campy. So bad it was good.

David H: Surprised me in that he almost "pulled off" that Celine Dion song. Heh.

Michael: Stop changing the notes and changing the key, and just sing the damn song already!

David C: Wow. Best performance of the season for anyone, so far. I didn't think his rearrangement of Lionel Richie's wimpy yet melodic song would work, but, wow. That was a superb performance.

Jason: The judges loved it, but I wasn't feeling it, dawg.

Chikezie: Much better than the judges gave him credit for. He is getting much better each week.

I absolutely loved Jason Castro!

I really like him too! I like his low-key vibe and he's definitely got talent...I actually picked up the phone and voted tonight (for the first time this season) just to do my part to keep him in.

I'm thinking Luke and Danny N. or Chikezie will go.

I think David Cook did the best last night...:sohappy:

He was great! :sohappy: And up until last night, I didn't really like him. But I thought he nailed it last night and was so happy for him when Simon said he loved it. I think Luke is definitely gone, but I'm not sure who the second person will be.

Did anyone else notice that Paula was more incoherent than usual last night? :lookaroun

Luke and Chikezie go home on Thursday.

I thought Luke's performance was decent. Yes, I'm biased since he's from my hometown. But, I thought he did better than the other weeks. Danny needs to GO.

And I'm sorry, but David Archuletta is starting to wear on my nerves. He's...pageant-y. And has a big, cheesy smile.:lookaroun

Sorry I think Luke should have gone before Jason Yeager. I have not enjoyed anything he has done, and even when they showed his audition a couple weeks ago, I thought that was awful as well. Not sure how he made it into the top 24 in the nation. All of the rest of them are better singers by a mile.

I think he is going to be this years Melinda Doolittle. Everyone thought she would win but she ended up in third place..(if I remember correctly). He is a great singer but he does something that gets on my nerves...when he sings he licks his lips over and over...:zipit:

Agree on both counts.

David just gets on my nerves--he's too much of a teeny-bopper for me and he's a butt-kisser. His comment last night at the end was about enough to make me :hurl:.

OMG! I totally noticed at the end that Paula really seemed out of it. She seemed really messed up right before the end of the show.

Agree totally. Luke should have gone home last week, but instead of Robbie...I thought Robbie was much better than Luke. Now Robbie wasn't good enough to win, but I thought he deserved another chance over Luke, someone who I haven't liked at all singingwise.

Agree on both counts.

Ah, but you see, David's got that all important teeny-bopper vote. And let me tell you...as someone who was a huge teeny-bopper (NSYNC was my band of choice), they will go to great lengths to insure that their favorite will do well. They are the types who will vote well into the last hour of voting and vote, and vote and vote. It will be very hard for another contestant to compete with that. Especially since it seems that no other contestant is so prevelant in their eyes. (Remember, he's got two qualities those girls love...he can sing and he's adorable. And the third quality they eat up is that he's relatively humble.)

DialIdol has Luke (no surprise) and David H. predicted as those with the lowest amount of votes... I'm surprised by David H.

I'm surprised if it is David H, but then not...I mean...he did have the whole controversey...that may have done him in with the voting public...even though I believe he is one of the more talented singers.

From Zabasearch.com :

Chikeze and Luke got the fewest text and phone votes after the March 4 performance show.

American Idol Voting Results News Flash!!!
David Archuleta got almost as many phone and text votes after the Feb 26 performance show as all the other contestants combined.
He is by far the most popular contestant this early in the competition in the history of American Idol.
