All Tomorrowland, All the time (Has Disney given up on the TTA?)

I never saw it but from what I remember it did not get the best reviews. Had it been a blockbuster like PotC a tie in is all but guaranteed. I guess maybe we were lucky that the HM movie was a flop to most.
Exactly.
Eddie Murphy animatronic making corny jokes as ghost wreck havoc.

... how does Stitch fit ANYWHERE in DHS?

And what are you trying to argue? That the only things that fit ALand should be things you like?

Also, it seems like the WDI have always cared deeply about the parks.

The Animation Courtyard. Nuff said.

And yes, it should only be things I like. (jk)

Getting back to MILF... our family thinks MILF is fun. What's so terrible about it? Is it just because it replaced something that some people really loved?

My criticism of MILF (which would carry over to TSMM and maybe others I can't think of right now) is: it's all digital--why not mix things up a little? Why can't MILF have something like 4 different scripts that are either random or on a rotation? It seems like it would increase the re-ride value...

MILF should be different every time. The Monster's are live actors.

My only problem (other than replacing TK) is that it has no re-ridable value. I would recommend it at least once, but no more. I really don't like the whole concept.

Then again, that's just my opinion.

It still seems many of the jokes are too similar or are already used. It can be a fun show but the jokes don't really work a 2nd time.

Coming form someone who told tired jokes daily, and people telling me I was the best skipper they've had in 30 years, it's not about the jokes, it's about the delivery.

 I actually find JC FAR funnier and more enjoyable than MILF.

Anyway, to better summarize my feelings so everyone knows my stance on it, here is an old review I did of it.

Disney has lately been getting into the business of "Digital Puppetry", an art form which allows digitally animated characters to interact with aduience member via hidden cast members. It is an interesting and unique technique that occasionally works and occasionally doesn't. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club is the latter. Replacing the hilarious and clever Timekeeper; MILF, for short, brings a new concept to Tomorrowland. A group of guests are invited to visit Monstropolis via a door and get the chance to join in on the monster's comedy act. The laughter the audience generates is going to be used to power the world the monsters live in. Audience members are picked at random and shown on a big screen while they interact with the monsters that are on the "stage". Most of the jokes rely on who is playing that character and how well they pull it off however you can text your own jokes to the cast members and hope they get chosen. I have personally watched the show several times and was not very impressed. Jokes that are funny the first time usually become very stale the next and at times the show lags on. One good thing I came out MILF with was an appreciation for the digital technique Imagineers use to bring these characters to life with and how well it is executed during the show. All that said, I recommend visiting the show at least once to enjoy it but it is not really worth any repeat visits. I also highly recomend to take your kids to see it if they enjoyed Monsters Inc. Overall it is not an awful attraction but it certainly is far from great.

1st visit- 7/10 stars
Repeat Visits- 4/10 stars
For Kids- 9/10 stars
Overall: 6/10 stars

(glad you are a funny skipper, as I still have yet to get you)

I actually admit, I really enjoyed the movie. It capture ToT's atmosphere great even though it isn't involved with the Twilight Zone. You should check it out.
(much better than the Haunted Mansion movie)
Was it the one with Steve Guttenburg in it done back in 1997? (and if we are admitting to embarrassing things.....I actually like the HM movie:lookaroun)

What they fail to realize is that this is a BUSINESS. People feed their children and put a roof over their head based on the quality entertainment they provide.

So they don't put in ride audio on SM. They changed a spiel on the TTA. They did give the front line cast a 4-5% raise and IMO, i'd rather see that. I'd rather my friends continue to be able to put food on their table over the incessant whining of "They ruined it" because Disney did/didnt do XXXXX.

Walt said that the parks are ever changing. They're organic creatures that grow and live. Change is the one true constant in WDW and it has to be to keep people from coming back.

Don`t bring SM onboard audio into it. :fork: :p

Yeah. I do. Its a great attraction for the 5-10 year old set. Everyone wants to be able to drive a car. Whats wrong with that?

Nothing at all. It's a classic attraction and is pretty fun at that age. I am just saying, would it bother you if it got replaced tomorrow?

See post #145. It applies here too.

MILF is by no means a bad ride... it's just... you pay 79 dollars and there are much better things to do than hear bad jokes. I can laugh at jokes online when I get home. BUT.... I'm still positive if I go back in that I'd hear a completely different show.

And Carousels are timeless. Even though I wouldn't wait 30 minutes to get on it, I still think if you have a kid you should try to get on it. Same for MILF and SGE.

Okay, I give up. See You Next Tuesday.

:O That's.... sorta.... overboard .

Very well said.
I do agree on both counts. MILF could be timeless too if DIsney just managed to fix up the concept.

With the recent "retro-izing" of the TTA and the Space Mountain refurb, it seems to me like TL is being informally divided into two areas: a "Toon" area consisting of the Buzz, Stitch, and Monsters Inc. attractions, and a "Classics" area consisting of Space Mountain, CoP, the Speedway, and the TTA/PeopleMover.

Also, I know everyone here pretty much thinks that SGE is an abomination unto the LORD, (and I'm not a fan, either) but what else could realistically go in that space? The only two shows that have ever been there are the "rocket ride" and the "escaped monster". Flight to the Moon/Mission to Mars would put modern audiences to sleep, and a more "extreme", non-toon version of the "escaped creature" show was already tried and deemed not family-friendly enough for the MK. So what other options are there? I honestly don't see how the thing could be improved without ripping the innards out of the show building and installing something totally new.
