All Tomorrowland, All the time (Has Disney given up on the TTA?)

Yea. I'd be all for a name change. It'd at least cut down the threads and posts about the individual rides not fitting the theme and the death of Epcot to posts and threads just about the death of Epcot.

 I never understood that whole "Epcot is Dead" mentality. In fact, I would say Epcot is in one of the best shapes now. Maybe a few refurbs are needed here and there but otherwise, it's all good.

Yes. They did walk around, renderings were done, etc.
Based on that a concept was devised. It was pitched at some level, but died a swift death.
The thematic issues would have been not so much about the look, but the whole issue of having Buzz, Stitch, CoP, etc existing in a Wall-E world. Mish-mashes like that are doomed to fail.
In look, it wouldn't be too hard...:lookaroun

But I'm glad it's dead, in a way...I would hope that TL gets something to help it's look and theme, though, and soon. Maybe TTA and what's left of SM is a step.

I actually don't think we disagree at all. Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom should be the Sci-Fi Spaceport/Interplanetary Convention Center and Futureworld should be about discovering new technologies.

The distinction is, that Futureworld has been about the history of discovery not just new discoveries. That's why I think Discoveryland is a more appropriate name than Future World.
OK, I'll agree there! :D

But no name change...please... Keep it FUTURE World. That's bold. That's assertive. It's a HUGE and cohesive theme that they could EASILY adhere to.

Besides....Gemini and the Name Change is Stone Cold DEAD.:drevil::lol:
I agree.

The problem is, Discoveryland is already associated with the Jules Verne concept in Euro Disney. Besides, Future World has a nice ring to it. (although it is not fully accurate, architecture aside.)
Yep. I would hope that they would not pull that.

I doubt 90% of WDW visitors would know about Discoveryland in Paris.
So? We know...

For me it is more like Epcot Center is dead because FW isn't FW anymore and you can look at my avatar to see how I feel about Nemo in TLS.

With that said I agree it is still my favorite park.

EPCOT Center, yes. EPCOT, no. It could easily be reversed, though and still appeal to the masses.

LOVE your avatar.:D
