Ah...Right. That was the in between period. I guess I didn't perceive it then, but the park was stale?
Very stale, IMHO. But then I`m a guy who visited in June 2001 and loved it. Strange what an 8 year leave of absence can do.

Back OT.... Valentines day would have been nice, but as you probably gathered this little project is, well, not that speedy. Say first quarter. Probably.

figure 12 months in a year, 4 quarters would be three months a piece, so jan, feb and march

so anytime between mid march break through mid april break to soak up the spring break crowds

unless something changes, I believe this will just "happen" with no press.

Interesting to note that when the ride first opened, this was said: "...what Siemens and Disney are really hoping people walk away with, is a sense of empowerment."

"When a guest gets off the ride it's important for them to feel that they can effect their future, effect their kid's future" -Imagineer Bob Zalk

And HMF said that it is Bob Zalk who knows whats going on with the descent but isn't saying anything.

Even the 2009 planning DVD mostly shows current and recycled exterior shots and some general new interior ascent shots, but not too much with regards to the descent.

Tomorrow's Child and Generation 21....a match made in heaven it seems.

I don't want to rain on fanboys and fangirls' parade but really.....the only reason why this song may/is/yeahdontchaknow/ coming back is because it works with Siemens' current message.

There is no gaurantee this song in whatever way it comesback/maybe/Idunnodoyou/yeasure that this song will last as long as the original T Child.

It may be a few years old campaign and replaced with an entirely new ending before we know it....or if the public likes it....perhaps it will stick through until Siemens contract is up for renewal in 2017

I hope they finish it. But who knows?? Honestly I would rather see the Monster's Inc. Coaster, and the Little Mermaid ride more than finishing SSE. Just my oppinion :)

I would love to see the Little Mermaid ride just as much also, but right now SSE needs to be finished first. Imagineering should be a bit embarassed that they did a half baked job. And maybe they are but just arent putting another cent into it until the sponsor opens the pocketbook. But then why all that was not figured out a year or two ago I cant figure out, why was the budget and everything not set in place to begin with?

Don`t blame Glendale; they were only as good as the tools they were given. They arn`t paying for the current work either

Martin, I'll record video of the descent from infinite stars all the way to the end of the ride and will send you the footage once I get back from my trip if you can enhance it and post the video? :sohappy: :D

My grandpa has a decent ISO on his hand held camera so it should capture well, especially with some enhancement.

Guys and gals I'll see if I can get flash pictures, particularly of the peppers ghost and girl in the window....or is it just the window these days....but only if there aren't alot of guests around when I go on the ride a few (hundred) times.

Oh Expo ' would you mind photoshopping the new SSE logo on the mirrored column? As for Bob Zalk' I hope somethings in the works because if he thinks the new ending is inspiring then we are in trouble.

what I noticed is that Bob's interview is drastically different from everyone elses who had an initial interview

he seemed to be talking long term, while that female imagineer who also appears in the 2009 planning dvd keeps shoving the touchscreen experience down our throat

It's not like the Imagineers didnt know that they couldn't finish the ride in time, but in order to get people to realise that SSE had been redone, let alone open, I figure they needed the motherly but really excited female imagineer to say....YES....YES USE YOUR TOUCH SCREEN!

Interesting stuff about Zalk...Does anyone know what OTHER attractions he has worked on? I wanna do some research.;)
I wonder if he worked on JIYI. He really seems to have no clue what he is talking about espescially how he describes the "New Story".BTW. I really wish to see this DVD feature about the new SSE. Is it on youtube?
