I'll check Mousebits some more. I still don't have Body Wars theme either.
There's a comprehensive WS file with individual tracks from many of the pavilions. Some Wonders of Life stuff may be there as well. I know Martin S. assembled some cool CommuniCore recordings on Mousebits, really retro-sounding stuff, which has a nice EPCOT Center sound to it, so I would add those. If you don't care about the number of CDs that this will come out to, I'd just download every single Epcot mp3 I could find and burn them all, taking care only to ensure that each individual CD were nicely balanced with a mix of different tracks (so that no single CD would become too repetitive, you know).

I downloaded the Epcot 25th 5 CD torrent on Mousebits. I am using a few of the songs from there, ones that I enjoyed. I will check all that out tonight. I am not going to go crazy. I am just looking for at least 1 song from each coutry and attraction, Illuminations, Tapestry, plus any other song associated with Epcot. If I wind up with 2 or 3 CDs, that would be OK. After Epcot, I am going to work on the other parks. This is going to be a massive task.

I think then that you've got the basic framework of a general, yet comprehensive, Epcot Sampler. The CommuniCore one is "Ultimate Spaceship Earth - CCore Soundtrack" on Page 7 of the "Multi-track collections." It's a long track clocking in at over 17:00 but it also includes a "We've Just Begun to Dream" rendition so you may not have to include an individual version of that one, plus it may be just long enough to fit on the 2nd or 3rd CD depending on how you organize the rest of the tracks. Really, I would take your original list (plus whatever ones you forgot to include on it), add a couple individual WS tracks, and the CommuniCore stuff, and you've got a terrific multiCD sampler right there.

Now we need a backstory worthy of Merriweather Pleasure's fictional foray into the shipping industry and his brush with perilously destructive storms.

Once, a great long time ago, the original inhabitants of Planet Earth developed a secret technology so powerful they knew they had to exercise great care lest it fall into the hands of their arch enemies from the Planet Zircon. The technology was a time-traveling machine, which the Earthiens knew the Zircons would no doubt attempt to use to go back in time to the formation of Earth and prevent the Earthiens from ever evolving.

The Earthiens, to safeguard their technological treasure, used it once, and only once, to travel to the future, all the way to the Year 2000 ANNO DOMINI. (The Future, Conan? That's right, let's take a look into the future, all the way to the Year 2000! In the Year 2000, in the Year 2000!)

In the Year 2000, the Earthiens secretly spied upon thousands of new Earth creatures who called themselves "humans" from a vantage point high atop some sort of geodesic orb that the "humans" had constructed in a palmy, balmy paradise called "Epcot." Using their special but far less important telepathy technology, the Earthiens beamed clues to the location of their intended hiding place for their time machine to the thousands of "humans" who were walking underneath the gigantic, mysterious geodesic orb, such that if all the humans ever assembled in one location again, they would have the telepathic power to put all the individual small clues together to discern the location of a great treasure from the Past, which they could then safeguard using their newer technology. To ensure the humans would all assemble again, the Earthiens inscribed images of the humans' faces and names on gigantic stone pillars, then arranged them on a secluded, safe island in the middle of Lake Buena Vista. The Earthiens then returned to their own time long ago and hid the time machine, hoping that this island would become a tourist destination, in which people who visited might recognize themselves or their friends and relatives on the stone slabs. Then, a company who purchased the real estate on the island and transformed it into a tourist destination might create a "Celebration Day" in which all the people whose faces were on the stones would be invited to a gigantic street party. At this party, all the people would assemble, thus allowing the ancient telepathic power of the Earthiens to be unleashed and the hiding place of their Time Machine to be revealed.

Welcome to Legacy Isle, operated by the Walt Disney Company! Where every day's a party amidst the images of thousands of happy smiling faces. But what secrets will be revealed when they return to see themselves on the gigantic, mysterious stone pillars that dot the island? Visit today, and be sure to buy some cool Legacy Isle swag!
You are insane.

I love it.:D:lol:

Thanks SirNim. This weekend will be a busy Epcot music weekend for me. I am going to check all this out on Mousebits. Once I get more songs, I will list all that I have, and then once my final decision is made, I will update the track list. U just hope, what ever I come up with is, as you said, a terrific MultiCD sampler.

Convoluted backstories are not my specialty.

Actually the overall idea of a secluded "Pleasure Island" concept is full of possibilities.

How about a "lost" abandoned hideout island complex built by pirates in a Louisiana bayou a long time ago that gets rediscovered and is converted into a place people now go to for great music and food and celebration. But only if those people have the right connections because you need a guide with a boat to get there. :)

You guys and your old music......

Back slightly to a topic nearer to on than off.... does no one find it strange that a lot of work lights were left on in SSE from overnight work?? ;)

Not to mention it should constitute a 101... but I`ve ridden Gran Fiesta with the lights on too.

Sorry a bit off topic:

When, roughly speaking, did Disney start keeping 101 rides open to the public? Seems like it used to be if nearly anything, or any effect, was broken, the ride was shut down until the repair was made, where as now they just keep sending people through an attraction and fix it on third shift, or whenever they can get around to it. Unless it prevents the ride vehicle from working, it seems like they continue to send people through, bad show or not.

When did this fundamental change in how 101 rides are dealt with take place?

Good question.

For example, I have some ride documentation from Pirates, it states that if any of these three things occur, the ride is 101 and should be cleared of guests:
a- Auctioneer is not working, either audio or movement.
b- Captain in the well scene is not working, audio or movement.
c- The rope-puller in the well scene stops moving and the magistrate is in the down position.

Now....the Yeti can stand still for a year and the ride isn't 101.:brick:

Wow. Could you imagine that type of treatment in WDW? That's amazing...even seems a bit extreme to me.

Finishing up work...? :lookaroun

In the descent yes, well hopefully. Although yesterday it looked nowhere near done, they arent getting very far but they are working on it as it was clearly obvious. Especially with so many work lights left on etc and things changing shape ever so slightly.

Thanks for the answer. Really an unfortunate state of affairs. Speaks loudly to the priorities of WDW management and executive decision makers these days. :(

When was the documentation you have dated? If you don't mind me asking. Obviously the ride documentation must have changed since yours was printed?
