I definitely wasn't feeling a good vibe from tonights show. It was just not a really great night. Jordin did the best by far. I think Blake did better than the judges gave him credit for though. I like the Bee Gees but I guess hearing other people sing them just doesn't do it for me...:shrug:

Not too sure who is going home...I think all the females are going to vote for Blake so he might be safe. I would go with Lakisha just because she has already been in the bottom two. She wasn't horrible tonight but nothing really was amazing about it.

We'll see....:shrug:

I honestly think only Jordin did anything of worth tonight. Melinda was boring, no stage presence and although her vocals were good she destroyed both songs. Lakisha can't manage an up-tempo song and ground both her songs into a morass of boredom. Blake's first song was acceptable when he was singing, but the beat-boxing didn't work with either song and his second song was unfamiliar to most of the audience and was bland, pitchy and boring.

Jordin's only mistake was the order she sang those two songs in, if she had reversed, the show would have had nothing to remember but Jordin. As it is she still not only could kick Ryan's and the judges', but did kick the competitions' collective a$$es!

All three of the others are equally on the bubble tonight, I wouldn't miss any of them.

After listening to Blake's first song again, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but still one of his worst, IMO. His 2nd was much better than the judges gave him credit for though.

I just don't think that using Bee Gee's songs is a good idea for a show like this. Honestly, if Barry auditioned for AI, he would be like William Hung. The voice fit for the time period, but it just isn't something you would want to immitate for a singing competition. He's the only one that can do most of those songs.

By the way, I forgot to mention that Jordin is 17 years old in my first post of the night. I think you guys should know that.

Meh, boring show, boring songs. Didn't like the theme at all.

Jordin was the best tonight by far!

I think it should be Lakisha and Blake in the bottom two, with Lakisha going home.

Actually, I didn't enjoy it, but not because of the music, but because those kids butchered what are some excellent songs. Jordin was the only shining light.

Yup yup... Plus the judges remind us of that every evening :lol:

I am a fan of his BUT I agree with you that Barry is an odd fit for AI- did you hear him singing last night when they aired the rehearsal footage? TERRIBLE!

Yeah and I'm trying to forget that little segment. Probably the worst vocal of the night :lol:

Overall, a pretty meh night.

Melinda wasn't horrid.
Not the usual Melinda-caliber, but still not as bad as the judges made it sound.

Blake was horrible.
I COMPLETELY agree with Randy.
The beatboxing is getting old.
It was unique in the beginning, but Blake is just using that to stay in the competion now.

LaKisha's first song was too good.
Second was better.
Worried about her fate tonight.

Melinda was the best of the bunch.
First song was incredible.
Second song was much better than the judges said it was.

Remember when Blake didn't beatbox for about 4 weeks? People were saying that he should bring it back. I think he is very talented. That is what makes him unique.

It was alright the first time when he starting beatboxing, but when he does it two times afterwards it really gets redundant...

and pretty annoying too. I'm more than confident that Blake will be leaving tonight. We'll just have to wait and see. Next week, however...I have no idea who will be leaving.

The only thing that may keep him in the competition is the fact that his style is so different from the other three. Depending on who is watching/voting, that fact may keep him there another week. If that's the case, I think Lakisha will go.

I don't really care about this anymore, but if America wants boring, they'll keep Lakisha and just have a top 3 divas show or whatever. If they want something different, they will keep Blake and he and Jordin can square off in the finals.
