Can I sue that Robin Thick guy for making my ears bleed? That was horrible. That high pitched voice is giving me nightmares....
Grown men should not sing soprano.

This show is going to be so predictable....Chris will go home tonight, Lakisha next week, then it's a crap shoot between Blake, Melinda, and Jordin for the win.
Respectfully, there are three ways for males to sing that high:Grown men should not sing soprano.
Yep, just you... The rest of us seemingly have taste... :shrug:I guess I'm the only one completely turned off by the idea of doing songs by Barry Gibb....:hurl:

Very glad to see Chris go. Even though Phil has been improving, it was his time.
It's going to be Lakisha next week.
Too bad the Idol Tour will be super boring this year with nothing but Divas in the finals... Well except Blake... At least he'll keep it interesting... I'm sure Blake and Chris will do some duets much like Chris and Elliot did last year... But Divas are boring...
Blake is more of a diva than Jordin is! :ROFLOL:I don't know that I would put Jordin into the Diva category. She's very versatile (um, except for Bon Jovi songs :lookaroun )

That's all true, but that still doesn't mean they should sing that high. Thank God for picture-in-picture so that I could switch to a baseball game.Respectfully, there are three ways for males to sing that high:
- Soprano is generally sung by pre-pubescent boys.
- Falsetto is what you heard tonight.
- Castratto is sung by men who have been, um... altered. :lookaroun
Agreed on Phil--he really did a good job with that song. Maybe his vote total was so low from the week before that he couldn't recover. As for Lakeisha, she will probably try and do a Donna Summer song and then wait to be voted off the next night.Phil didn't deserve to go tonight, he's managed to perform very well for the last three weeks. I think Lakisha should have gone... But she will next week... There's nothing she could possibly pull off in next week's genre.

Thanks, I was making a joke. As a singer, I know the difference between soprano and falsetto. I've just never heard an entire song sung in falsetto since Tiny Tim was on the Johnny Carson show, and that was intended as humor. I kept expecting Thicke to change into his full voice at some point. It would have added some interest to the vocal, and made the whole song less painful.
Oye Vey, Dance theme week is ALWAYS a disaster...:hammer:I think Barry Gibb is the coach, but the contestants are doing "dance music" and not necessarily music by the Bee Gees. That opens things up a bit.

I'm trying not to....Are you remembering Carrie Underwood singing "MacArthur Park"? That was her bad moment that season!!!
I was expecting the same... It was horrible. Oh, and I was just taking advantage to squeeze in the "castratto" joke of my own... :lookarounRespectfully, there are three ways for males to sing that high:
