AI: Season 6

She was turned off by some things she read in the PML and basically "retired" from here. When she was telling me about what happened, I wasn't surprised at all unfortunately. There are a lot of great people who have left the boards over the years.
You'd be surprised why a few of those "great" people have left...or maybe you wouldn't be.

But I digress. What's next week's theme? :lookaroun

That's true

No I wouldn't be. Even though I don't have the little blue box under my username, I still know what goes on occasionally
The blue box just means that you are financially supporting Steve and the site that we all love...it does not mean that we know what goes on more then anyone else.

A lot of those "great" people have left because they had started problems that did not need to be started and a lot of people have left on their own free will..

Anyways :lookaroun

I hope that the contestants get to choose their own songs this week. The race is too close between these three, IMO. In past years, getting to the final two wasn't that much of a surprise. But this year, I think anyone could get eliminated and there wouldn't be any surprises. There's too much on the line this week to force them into a certain genre.

Might be a good time to drift into PMs :animwink:

Here in AZ it is Jordin Sparks Day. She's all over the tv and radio and there is a parade followed by a party planned for Glendale. If it were cooler out I might be tempted to go, but with crowds that big there is no guarantee of a shady spot for my daughter.

I really hope she does win!

My husband's aunt had a good point of why she SHOULD win. Being the youngest of the 3, she would benefit the most from the rigidity of the winner's contract. They'll all have music careers, but why throw a 17 year old to the wolves?

I think it's the week where the judges pick a song, Clive Davis picks a song, and the contestants pick a song. They also visit their hometowns.

This was the week Carrie sang "Cryin" and "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" *dies*

Any word if the song that they pick is currently on the charts or is this anything goes?

What made Simon think that Ryan was drunk? Did anyone else find that a little odd? :veryconfu

Obviously it had something to do with him trying to mimic Randy. It was a stupid comment.

I wish the producers would just ban Simon and Ryan from talking to each other. Their little catfights are really awkward and annoying. If it's staged, it's just dumb. If they genuinely dislike each other, they need to put their big boy pants on and be professionals on the air.

Incredibly talented final three. I give the edge to Melinda. I voted for her tonight. So far, I've voted for the winner every season. Let's see if that holds up!

I got off work late today, who was the first performer and what did they sing? Thanks!

Melinda was the last performer tonight and she sang "I'm a Woman." It was a repeat performance from earlier in the season. She did a really good job, but I wish she had done something different.

I want to see Blake go home tomorrow night. Jordin's final performance this evening was my favorite of the night. However, I thought she was a little too Broadway in her delivery.

I can't really remember a lot of specific episodes in the past 6 years of American Idol, but I can say with a decent amount of confidence that this was the best show in the show's history. I honestly have NO IDEA is who is going home tomorrow, but I do think that nobody deserves to go. These have been the best 3 all season long and they proved it tonight.
