The only "shocking" result I can think of is if Lakisha, Melinda, Jordin, or possibly Blake (borderline with him) was sent home. That would be a real surprise.

Or if they just came out and said "we get it, you guys are clever, but Sanjaya is leaving now."

That would be really weak, though.

I'm a little nervous about Jordin, because I never once got a busy signal last night, and being in her same time zone... you would think that was when she'd get the most votes.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me.

As soon as I heard what song she was singing I thought, "Uh-oh..."

Then I heard her sing it, and frankly it came off like a fairly decent kareoke performance. I honestly didn't think it was that good in the grand scheme of things, and it just might get her booted.

It'll be alright though... She'll win an Oscar in a couple of years.

The thing that we noticed last night, and I think it's been mentioned here, is that both Lakisha & Melinda are phenominal singers but they do the same style ever single week. I would love to hear them sing something different, and am surprised that the judges haven't commented on it. :shrug: DBF and I were also talking (we both love both of them, btw) and we're afraid that they won't eventually win because they may not be marketable in the modern genre. Which is unfortunate because they have such amazing voices, but I think that may've been what happened w/ Jennifer Hudson. Amazing, sultry, bluesy voice...but not something you would necessarily hear on the radio.

I just don't get all the hatred. Sheesh. If you're gonna hate someone, hate the creator of that website. I mean I didn't even hate Katharine McPhee this much...actually, I've never really hated anyone. It's just a tv show. It's just there for entertainment. Big deal.

LaKisha - Love her as usual, but the song was a bit boring.
Chris S - Horrendous. Needs to go home.
Gina - LOVED IT. My favorite performance of her's to date.
Sanjaya - Needs to go home. The hair is becoming a publicity stunt.
Haley - Eh, okay. Not horrible, and not fantastic. At least she was wearing a little bit more clothing.
Phil - Best performance of his to date (although I Could Not Ask for More was very good.) He will be headed home soon, IMO.
Melinda - Very good. Loved it.
Blake - Boring. Don't agree with Simon, I don't think there is a strong male this year.
Jordin - Risky, risky choice. Horrible outift. I'm not a fan of the genre, but I think she did an alright job.
Chris R - Getting worse by the week. Needs to go home.
