I know I can't text. In previous years the 1-866 numbers have been restricted to U.S. calls.
I understand, but it's more than the best not improving because there's nowhere further up to go, I could accept that. She doesn't change anything... same style, same smile, same [particularly bad] posture, same presentation... There's no "Melinda" there, there's just this package that comes out every week. And my opening comment was that she has a great voice... I just want to see something different, unique, individual...

Sanjaya...oy vey. The judges are just laughing at him but he'll stay another week for sure. The longer he stays, the more momentum from the 'negative' crowd as they see they can influence the outcome.

Loved Melinda, Jordin and Gina tonight. That was definately Gina's best. Phil gets my vote for "most improved." Blake is getting tiresome. He slides into notes. Haley was boring, Chris Sligh was too. Sanjaya is beyond being a joke. Chris R was OK. Lakisha was pretty good. That's about it. Bottom three should be Haley, Sanjaya and Chris Sligh. But who knows what the voters will do.

Thanks for the link...after watching the video, Gina gets high marks from me. :sohappy: A couple weeks ago, I would've written her off but now I'm not so sure.

Well I missed the ep. tonight since I had to work, but it doesn't look like I missed much after seeing the song list. I thought there could potentially be some great song choices this week since the theme was so broad, but the contestents never pick the songs we want to hear....:shrug:

My take on all the performances:
Lakisha- missed her performance...
Chris S- Very boring, didn't like it at all.
Gina- I haven't really cared for her this season, but tonight was her best performance by far.
Sanjaya- Oh My God...THE HAIR!!! When will it ever end??
Hayley- Love this song. It means a lot to me because my sister's lyrical dance group won the national showcase title with it. I thought it was ok, I like the origional better.
Phil- Best performance by him yet. I thought the song was perfect for him!
Melinda- Same as every week, amazing voice.
Blake- I've never really liked his voice, he was very meh tonight.
Jordin- I thought it was a risky song, but it turned out to be a good performance. It fit her age and she had fun with it. Did not like the outfit at all!
Chris R- Haven't really liked him either, tonight was not very good.

I've been a Gina fan since the final 24. Her performance tonight is my favorite so far this season. For any of them. It's a great song (I love The Pretenders), and every note was beautiful.
I was actually entertained by Phil! I couldn't believe it. But then again, "Every Breath You Take" is a creepy, stalker song. :lookaroun

For sure. I think we can stop hoping on Sanjaya getting the boot anytime soon. I don't know how he's doing it, but he's hanging in there. :brick:

I think you may be right.
I liked Chris in the beginning but he still looks like he did when he walked in off the street for his first audition. Even the heavier ladies are making an effort to change their appearance. And his singing hasn't improved one iota. :hurl:
Dialidol has Sanjaya pulling as many votes as Lakisha and only a couple of points or so away from second place. As more people get eliminated, disgruntled fans may turn to Sanjaya in their anger. Howard Stern and votefortheworst fans will feel empowered that they can influence the outcome and more people will join the campaign. :shrug:
...not to mention all the starvation deaths. :ROFLOL:

EDIT: Apparently, Nigel has made some sort of statement that tonight's results will send shockwaves thru America.

I wouldn't worry about it. Dial Idol has been incorrect just about every week. So I wouldn't trust its accuracy.
