Except Odin and Co (including the Asgardian City and planet) isnt on earth.
Thor doesn't have a "base of operations" on Earth. You can bet he lounges in the Avengers's Tower (Stark's)

I honestly believe they should have gone for the "After the destruction of his collector base in Knowhere, The Collector decided to built on Earth and disguised his new base as a broken hotel". Which kinda fits considering that The Collector is manipulative (multiple times have lied to get his hands on Rocket Raccoon and Groot as part of his collection).
But the new designs make kinda zero sense in that aspect.
What are you talking about? ;)

:hilarious:
take photos, some of us love couch vacations ;)
Definitely. One thing I thought of today while getting the ticket got me excited too. Instead of depending on inflight movies I'll have my Nintendo Switch to play on the plane!!! :D Hope it works with those portable chargers.

From OU, another piece of the "Donkey Kong" permit.

When the rumors first came out I knew they had to find a way to have you jump between tracks. I can't imagine what else they would've drawn this up for.
Follow up of how this would work in video form.

I get the feeling that you guys are spending a lot more time than Disney ever did trying to figure out how this GoTG monstrosity can work. If the people in charge spent as much time as we do thinking about things like this they also probably would have come to the conclusion that it just doesn't work at all. Instead they get their "synergy" and will probably attempt to sell some convoluted backstory which at best is a huge stretch but in reality just doesn't make sense.

I love how he keeps poking at his "secretary" while he's writing the letter to Tony.

In the middle of watching this now. Great work as usual @marni1971 :)

I just had to jump in here mid-viewing to point out how Michael Eisner himself uses the term "E Ticket" here. So much for it being a useless phrase once they stopped using ticket books like some people here claim ;)

The bit from Carol Serling is also a bit sad now since they've removed TZ from the DCA version.

Didn't they have to change a part of the ride because they couldn't get the screens before the drop? I feel like I remember reading somewhere that they now have to address why you're looking out at a theme park.

Wait, I'm a bit confused by this. What do you mean they couldn't get the screens before the drop? Why wouldn't they just go with the first two show floors are now?

Or do you mean they were adding additional screens where the doors open? Are those still going to open to the outside now? (were they before?)

Bringing art and culture to a city, at no cost to the city, is about as no-brainer as you can get. If someone wants to spend one-and-a-half billion dollars of their own money to educate people about art, you damn well better have a good reason for saying no. The Businessweek piece linked above attempts to lay out the cons of the museum, but not a single argument against it is even remotely convincing.

And if you don’t want to feel bad for a mega-billionaire like George Lucas, at least feel bad for yourself. Feel bad that you can’t be enlightened about new forms of art and culture. And feel bad for all the amazing artists whose work remains obscured because of stupid, awful people who stand in the way.

What shortsighted snobbery.

So much of the proposed art/culture is the modern equivalent of the once considered frivolous art these reactionary opponents do embrace as legitimate art forms by now, such as operette, jazz, cinema.
Bah, few groups are more reactionary, petty, and narrow-minded as precisely those who claim to be their opposite, the liberal cultural elite.

Maybe Lucas can negotiate with London, Amsterdam or Berlin.... :geek:

As @Tahu could tell you, parking lots for Bears fans to tailgate and get hammered are more important too.

You know what would be a great place for Lucas' museum? WDW. Say, along the shore of Lake Buena Vista.

Although WDW is not in that business anymore, or perhaps more accurately, never developed into the direction where a popular storytelling museum would make sense and find an audience. The very thought seems preposterous nowadays. Somewhere along the way WDW decided it would cater to the 'tailgaters looking to get hammered' crowd.
