Is this the line for the bathroom???

    There is hope...

MicBat - it looks like we agree again - maybe it's the water down here :) Futrue World needs updating just like TomorrowLand needed updating in the earily 90's. In that case, I like how they turned it in to a turn of the century view of the future. The problem with trying to be cutting edge...

    Monorail Music?

I love the monorails and never remember any music on them. I used to have a recording of the old narration and you could hear the monorail accelerating (wind and tire noise) but no music. Unfortunately, I lost the file in a computer crash a year ago - at least the location I knew where it was...

    WDI Planning Segway Testing Facilities.

Snoballego I fully agree that this is strictly a novelty item. Here's an image for you. Imagine about 1000 of these things rolling down Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras??? LOL NOT!

    January 8 2003 Site Update: Alien Encounter/Stitch

Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in... AE and Timekeeper was part of a re-hab in the early 90s when the old futureworld looked more like 70's world. The media ads at the time indicated that the idea was to give FutureWorld an early 1900s, Jules Vern, view of the future with fantastic space ships...

    Epcot's Leave a Legacy

It makes Disney look like they are after a quick buck. I agree that they look like gravestones or a mosileum. Maybe they could move them over to the haunted mansion? I know they could sell funeral crypts and we could actually be buried at the haunted mansion! LOL

    M:S weightlessness!

Let me throw my 2 cents in, First you're right, if you can't see out you don't know what way is up. Pilot have to be trained to fly in the clouds and trust their instruments not their butts. (IFR flight training). Once you lose visual reference, if you feel a 1 G (1 times the force of...

    A Mission:Space notice and a concern

This is definately a subject that irks me. I see parents allowing their kids do the most amazing things. It's not that the kids are doing it - kids will be kids and test their environment - it's that the parents don't react/discipline/teach the kids. We have 3 kids, 2 of which are very...

    Snow pictures!!

If you add roaches the size of small dogs, then it's a normal day here in the swamp.... LOL Thanks for pics all - Like MicBat said we don't get a lot of snow in New Orleans. It's 50 degrees and folks think they're going to freeze to death. A white Christmas down here means one of the oil...

    FASTPASS as a resort Perk

Seems to me that the FP machines have to be networked already to one database -- how else would they prevent you from jumping from machine to machine to gain multiple FPs? A stand alone machine at Space Mountain would not know if you already had a FP at Splash Mountain. All in all, while FP...

    FASTPASS as a resort Perk

Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. A long time ago, when WDW only had a few hotels, they would allow resort guests to make reservations to resturants and to things like the Hoop De Doo up to a year in advance, while non resort guests could only make reservations up to 30 days in advance. (Might...

    Test Track Responses

Re: Re: Test Track Responses As someone's who's 6'6", this would be most appreciated. I think most taller guests would even be willing to let someone go ahead of them to gain the added comfort - or even to fit at all. I know I would!! Thanks

    Disneyland Resort: San Antonio

Something I'd love to see and you touched on it with WesCot - design a city to match Walt's orginal dream of EPCOT. Austin has developed into a mini-Silicone Valley with a lot of tech stuff, which tends to be the kind of folks that would want to live in a Disney stile Utopia. Austin's close...

    Japan Showcase & Morocco

I'm new, but thought I'd jump right in --- We love Morocco just the way it is. It always feels like you've left the park and gone to the country. Maybe it's the way it smells -- the leather goods and incense. IMHO - no ride is needed. For Japan, I agree that when you get to the castle in...

    World Shocase Change?

MicBat - Thanks for the welcome. Russia sounds good for me too. Can you imagine a furry Russian hat with mouse ears on a Russian co-ed? ;)

    World Shocase Change?

The underline in my above post was place by the server. The type of fighting is male chicken fighting. It's a cultural part of South West Louisiana. I didn't stop to think that the word for male chicken is also a "dirty" word. Sorry.

    World Shocase Change?

Yes - Spainish culture includes activities that hurt or are cruel to animals. So, does American culture - ________ fighting or Dog fighting are a couple of examples. Should we take out the American pavilion? While I understand compassion for animals, what about compassion for fellow human...

    admission tickets

If you're a member of AAA, they have advertised discount tickets through their travel centers. I don't know excactly how much of a discount these really are, but triple-A is most likely a reliable sourse without any strings attached. (Except membership - of course). Hope this helps
