    Ride Breakdowns!

RnRC We got evac'ed off the highest point of RnRCoaster a few years ago. We launched, as usual, and then just after the loop I noticed the lighting was odd. As it turns out, the emergency lighting had come on in the lower parts of the ride. Then we got to the highest point and there's section...

    New Slides at Typhoon Lagoon?

My spouse works as management-level in one of the parks. The word "on the street" is that the new slides will be derivitives of the "toilet bowl" style slides, probably emptying into the CnG pool. That pool was apparently built for 3 sets of slides to empty into it, CnG being #1, Toilet Bowl...

HOT INFO! Timekeeper to be Monster's Inc. Stage Show (pics!)

So let's talk Tech... So, assuming: 1. There IS a MI ride going in to Tomorrowland 2. It WILL use some existing tech in a fabulous new stage show. 3. It will utilize the theater Timekeeper is in. 4. It's safe to assume it won't be another "same ol' same ol'" show. What do you think the...

    Interesting DAK Article @ LP

Just pointing out (as the front page of the site did) that a full service Asian restaurant has also apparently been greenlit for the park, operated by Landry's. And a dino-themed one for Downtown Disney. I'm curious as to where the Asian one would end up in DAK though... maybe in that town...

Are you sick of it too?

Re: Steamboat Willie pin For pete sake's people: If you're going to criticize, at least learn what you're criticizing about. A LARGE part of the marketing campaign for the first L/S movie, which continued into the pin line, was Stitch being inserted into famous Disney movie moments and...

    EE soft openings

Everest will definitely not be open Feb 1, as the "Everest Path" will be totally closed off to guests. They may be taking down the construction walls, as well as putting in post-holes for removable stantions to help with crowd control. Beyond that it's up-in-the-air.

    New Article on EE

I think this article totally neglects where I think E:E will make back some of its 100M: locals and APs. It's not just about making people add an extra day onto their stay... most people's stays are locked into school schedules, 3-day weekends, vacation time. However, if AK, which HAS been a...

Mickey's Philhar Magic Brought Up an Idea

What would be cool... What I think would be very cool would be to develop a ride using the Soarin' mechanism to fly through famous locales from Disney/Pixar movies. Not even in 3-D, just very cool, high-definition, no story or whatever. The sensations Soarin' gives makes the 3-D aspect almost...

    NYE Closure?

Epcot 12/31 I went in to Epcot at 7:00 or so. Parked @ Boardwalk (in case Epcot was still in a Phase close, which it was for several hours on Saturday), but went in anyway. Saw the first Illuminations, which was simply the holiday "Peace On Earth" add-on, but always fun to see. Then we went to...

    3D Preshow Feature at E.E.?

No 3D A friend of mine is cast, and has walked the queue at Everest. There are no 3-D elements to be included in the coaster, or queue. What replaces Tarzan Rocks, however... that may be a different story.
