Old Key West or Saratoga Springs

I have never stayed at SSR, but my vote is for OKW. We stayed there in Oct and LOVED it. It's really quiet and laid back. The rooms are also huge and the views are great. I couldn't recommend it enough.

    Tampa Airport to far?

I just flew into Tampa today for the exact same reason. Saved loads on airfare. $189 RT from Tulsa, OK and that includes tax. The drive was breeze, and the airport is REALLY nice.

Tip to avoid alot of luggage

We simply just called ahead of time told them it was coming and they should hold it for you behind the front desk. If I'm forgetting something I'm sure when you call the resort itself they should be able to tell everything you need to put on the package to ensure delivery.

Tip to avoid alot of luggage

We actually shipped most of our clothes in boxes via UPS last time we went. We took enough clothes for a day and most of our toiletries in a smaller suitcase on the plane and shipped the rest. It costs a little more but it's pretty convenient and this way you don't have to haul them to the...

    21-26 October

I am a big believer in www.touringplans.com (I'm in no way affiliated with them) They have a crowd calendar that predicts the wait times for EVERY day of the year. It's rather and impressive. They explain on the website how they determine each days crowd levels, but I've found them to be pretty...

Is Going to Walt Disney World in October a good idea?

I'm also going this year in late October and I've read/heard nothing but good things about it. Plus if you follow the crowd levels over at www.touringplans.com October is about the least crowded month of the year, and the people at touringplans.com are usually right one with their crowd level...

Do youever feel like your a Walking Disney Rep??

Some one mentioned earlier about when anyone mentions that they're going to Disney it's an automatic 2-3 hour conversation... that is sooooooo me! I can think of several people who I work with who had never been and decided to go after made hard sell. I'm always discussing with people my...

    The Laugh Floor

I had no expectations going in, and was really impressed. That said my Bro-in-Law went when it first opened and wasn't really impressed. After his second visit to TLF in Jan 08' he said it had improved a lot. Perhaps it just depends on your sense of humor and what you find funny. As for me...

How far are you traveling to go to WDW?

Well I'm in Tulsa, OK. We used to have a nice direct flight to MCO but that got cancelled a couple of years ago, so now we have to connect everytime.

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

Excellent post. I feel exactly the same.

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

I would agree with you that the easy way is not always the best way, but it's almost always the most common way, and unfortunately when the goal is to make money the easy way wins just about every time. Pixar itself is a great example of this. Dreamworks spends WAY less time and money on it's...

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

Maybe the fact that it's been 25 years tells us something about where their heads are at on this issue. Is it not much simpler to create an attraction around an existing brand? Audiences are already familiar with the characters and as such they have a built in desire to come and visit them. I...

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

While I don't disagree with you at all, I think it comes down to what Disney feels will be the profitable investments. I think that's why we're seeing an abundance of Pixar rides.

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

just curious, do you feel that the Pixar-based rides lack soul or is it the movies themselves that lack soul, or is it both?

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

Yes but Toy Story 2 is only 9 years old and Toy Story 3 is just around the corner.

Why so much hostility towards pixar?

I'm actually a huge Pixar fan, but I also love the older Disney classics as well. I think the reason we're seeing so many Pixar-based attractions is because it's just smart business to capitalize on a product that is producing right now. It's hard to believe but the Little Mermaid is almost 20...
