Given the cost of renting a vehicle big enough, gas, tolls, stress of driving all the way from north western Wisconsin with small children and travelling with people you don't normally travel with, I would think flying would be so much easier.
Have the kids check in at a designated place at a designated time.
Bed check at a specified time each night.
Make sure everyone knows the rules and consequences of breaking them.

Took my daughter and her friend last night. We went to an Ultrascreen so we could have three times as big Jake and Edward. Yummy! I really enjoyed the movie.
I prefer the 100 loop, which is the closest to the marina. I like hearing the boats coming and going. From what I understand, though, the cabins in the 100 loop are not available for rent.
I have never found a golf cart to be a must, jmo.
