Fantasyland is one of the areas that has changed the most since the last draft so let’s talk about that for a few moments.

The Castle of this park hasn’t changed, but I have settled on the official name of Belle’s Enchanted Castle most resembling Disneyland Paris’ Castle so as to not get too repetitive with the American Disney Parks.
Inside the castle itself you’ll find two massive restaurants, on the left is Be Our Guest on the right is The Enchanted Rose Royal Dining Room. Be our guest is exactly as it sounds, open for lunch and dinner, Be Our Guest transports guests into the luxury and majesty of the ballroom sequence of the Beauty and the Beast Film. Huge Picture windows with blue skies and stars shine down as guests enjoy a meal catered by the most famous servants in history. We invite each and every one of you to be our guest as we present a character dining experience unlike any other, as about every 10-15 minutes animatronic characters seem to come out of every corn to perform a number from the show, complete with lighting, sound, and fully immersive effects. Across the way inside the Enchanted Rose, open for dinner only, it is a completely opposite kind of dining experience, meant to be upscale and romantic. Each of the two separate dining areas overlook fantasyland, and provide a magical atmosphere with Roses, Candles and a Five Star dinner.

Also inside the castle, you’ll find The Workshop a themed gift shop selling Maurice’s inventions, as well as The West Wing Character Greeting Area With two separate greeting areas, the Library for Princess Greeting, and the West Wing for Belle and Beast, and other BATB character greeting.

Upon exiting the castle, you find yourself in the courtyard of the castle Also known as Fantasy Gardens The highlight of which being a huge floral clock-face in the center. Various flowers and trees surround you inside this small castle courtyard, walled in by a castle wall directly ahead. Two bright smaller castle wings surround you on either side, one carrying a theatre for Mickey’s Philharmagic, which would exit into Madame Armoire’s A clothing boutique themed after the wardrobe from the BATB film.

On the other side would be a dark ride based on the Beauty and the Beast film of the same name. The ride would take you through Belle’s Journey from the poor provincial town up to the castle, and how she fell in love. The score the ride would include all the show-stopping favorites from the film, including Human Again, added for the special edition in IMAX theatres a few years ago. Beauty and the Beast would exit you through Mrs. Potts Cupboard An old time bakery selling various baked goods and sweets.

Beyond the Castle Wall, you seem to enter a world of color and whimsy. The first thing that greets your eyes is the Fairytale Carrousell a unique twist on normal characters allowing our smaller guests to embark on a ride aboard a dragon, a griffin, lions, tigers, and other exotic and fantastic animals (with a few horses for the purists out there). The structure that dominates this corner of fantasyland is Cinderella’s Country Chateau a large building featuring elaborate greeting areas for Cinderella characters. Here guests would be able to interact with the most famous Disney Princess like never before, getting a chance to spend some time with her and her prince as they go about their royal duties, and maybe even getting to perform some on their own. Outside, along the castle wall in this small Cinderella Courtyard, you would be able to find The Bippidi Boppidi Boutique where girls can get the royal treatment and become a princess for a day, as well as The Glass Slipper a smaller store with Disney Princess Merchandise.

If you move to the left you’ll be able to find yourself in The Fantasyland Countryside whose flagship attraction is “it’s a small world” featuring the blue, white, and yellow façade of the Asian parks, but devoid of Disney Characters. What’s more important would be the tower, casting a shadow across the area, if you’re lucky, you may be able ot find characters from the upcoming Disney Movie “Rapunzel” inside the Rapunzel Tower This area also features the Snow White Wishing Well Where guests can meet and Greet Snow White, The Prince, The Seven Dwarfs, and maybe even the Evil Queen depending on the time of day. Bella Notte Ristorante Caps this section off and features a sit down Pizza and Pasta fare.

Directly behind Cinderella’s Country Chateau is a small Lagoon, and around is a small sub-section themed to Neverland. Entering the path from the right of IASW, you are taken into Neverland immediately by a skull-shaped rock, a scene with the mermaids grooming themselves as well as the Jolly Roger tied to a rock on the shore. Lanterns with flickering lights provided by Fairies and Pixie Dust light the path ahead into this beautiful world. Right away on the left is Tinker Bell’s Treasures a boutique store selling Disney Fairies related items. It also serves as the Exit for Peter Pan’s Flight. The Ride itself is a direct clone of the other versions, but the queue is large and fantastic, and takes you into the world of the lost boys, inviting you to duck through the holes in hollow trees, and sing the stars shining above you.

Neverland would blend elements from the Peter Pan Film into the world of the blossoming Disney Fairies franchise Casting shadows over the path would be two Disney Fairies themed attractions, one a hollow tree shrinking guests down to the size of a pixie to meet Tinkerbell and her friends, and the other a huge interactive playground themed to the world of Pixie Hollow.

Going to the Other side of Cinderella’s Chateau, on the right is Circusland and beside it between Circusland and Neverland is Wonderland. Circusland of course takes you into the magical world of Dumbo, mostly known for a version of the Dueling Dumbos, allowing you to fly over Fantasyland. Circusland is also home to another Train Station, as well as Cirque Magique A special character greeting tent where you can meet Mickey, Minnie, the Fab 5, and other classic disney characters throughout the day. A magical Three-Ring Fountain with Timothy Mouse, Dumbo, and other disney characters marks the center of the small circus land sub-land.

Wonderland is exactly what it sounds like and features two major attractions. In the Center of the Area is of course the Mad Tea Party a covered and cloned version of the WDW favorite. Across the way is Alice’s Curious Labyrinth. The Labyrinth takes you directly into scenes from the film, including Alice as big as a house, Down the Rabbit Hole, a game of flamingo Croquet, Tulgy Wood and so much more. The great thing about Wonderland though would be the massive gardens lining the streets, full of blinking flowers, smoking caterpillars and other creatures of wonderland. Wonderland is the smallest of the Fantasyland sub-lands but it is one of the most magical.

Only two areas of Left of Fantasyland! One thing that makes this version of the park so interesting is that Fantasyland is directly connected to the hub in two separate places. If you take the spoke directly to the right of the castle you’ll find yourself in The Hundred Acre Wood An area themed to Winnie the Pooh. With Critter Country behind it, here an extension of Fantasyland, rather then it’s own themed land.

Hundred Acre Wood focuses on a magical new stage show Storytime with Pooh and Friends a great new show which would feature a combination of live action elements combined with two large LED screens made to look like storybook pages. On either side of the seating area would be large Pooh’s Playful Spot Playgrounds, one themed to the woods and the trees, and the other themed to Heffelumps, Woozles, and Hunny Potts. Beyond the two playgrounds would be the entrance to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh dark ride.

The Final Area of Fantasyland is of course Critter Country. Featuring one of Disney’s exiting Mountains Splash Mountain! It’s time to find your laughing place as you join Brer Rabbit on this wacky flume ride adventure, with the larger boats seen in WDW, and including new scenes and scores throughout the ride, a new twist on a disney favorite. Also inside Critter country in the very center of the area is The Briar Patch a large tree with a store inside it selling Splash Mountain, Critter Country, Pooh related merch. Along the street, behind the Dueling Dumbos would be The Treehouse Restaurant much like the new treehouse villas at WDW guests would have the opportunity to dine in the trees as this kid friendly quick service restaurant.

So that’s Fantasyland. I hope to have some layouts and blueprints ready for you soon to help visualize layouts and space. As always feel free to leave comments and suggesstions, that's why I do this to get feedback positive or negative! So Please post!

See ya real soon!

Welcome to Adventureland! Where monkies swing above your head and birds chrip from the trees and your greatest adventure is whatever you choose it to be. The layout of Adventureland leaves you to just that, choices of where to go and what to explore. A series of four separate islands, Adventureland takes you to the south seas Angkor island, Mangani Isle, Toruga Port, and Paradise Falls, all surrounded by the St. Rice River. Each of the islands takes you to a very specific place.

Directly connected to the Hub is Mangani island. Named for the tribe from Edgar Rice Burroughs’s original Tarzan. Nartually this is home to Tarzan’s Treehouse, an interactive trail through the Tarzan animated film. The Treehouse also features greeting areas with Tarzan, Jungle Book, and Lion King characters. Right next to the treehouse you’ll find two bridges over a waterin’ hole to lead to a theatre housing Festival of the Lion King a brand new updated version of the Animal Kingdom show. Across the way from the treehouse you’ll find Professor Porter’s a small kiosk featuring adventure land merchendise. The kiosk itself seems to be cobbled together out of various things found on the island, bamboo, logs, leaves and what-not. Across from the entrance to the waterin’ hole theatre is Aloha Isle an ice cream stand (selling everyone’s favorite pineapple floats) that seems to be carved out of the side of a rock face.

Between Aloha Isle and Professor Porters is a rickity suspension bridge that leads to Tortuga Port, while just past aloha isle is another rope bridge leading to Angkor Island. Angkor Island takes you to a south seas island full of plants and ruins reminiscent of Cambodia, or other south seas islands. Angkor Island is home to the spectacular original attraction The Temple of Peril. Based slightly on the Parisian attraction Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril. The Temple of Peril is essentially this park’s answer to Big Thunder Mountain, taking you into an ancient temple via an archeological team who’ve been hit by an ancient curse, you’ve been chosen to help them return an artifact and end the curse. Your wild crazy journey will take you backward, forward, and around every curve of the temple as you attempt to escape the curse, and return the stolen artifact. Also on Angkor Island is 1001 Treasures a small shop at the exit of the temple of peril.

Take the other bridge and end up at Tortuga Port, an area themed after the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Rigging holds up poles flying the pirate colors, the buildings seem to be recovering from cannonball damage, and it seems that the port of Tortuga is simply a pirate haven.

Directly in front of the bridge is the entrance to the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! The magical float-through through the frolicking hijinks of pirates of the Caribbean, but sans any movie references. This remained version of the attraction will feature updated AAs, and a brand new scene referencing the upcoming “On Stranger Tides” sequel with a group of pirates setting out to find the fountain of youth on a new adventure after ransacking the town as the finale of the attraction.

Exiting the attraction, takes you into the East India Trading Company Store selling Pirates related merchandise. Also connected this store is Shackleton Metalwork. A store selling genuine old time metalworks, from goblets to real swords, this upscale shop is also connected to The Pirates League where children can transform into pirates and maidens. Across the street is a large quick service restaurant The Crow’s Nest taking you into the supply headquarters for all the ship’s galley’s as they dock at Tortuga port. For a fee you can gain access to their supplies at this buffet style restaurant.

The Final Area, connected by bridge to both Tortuga Port and Angkor Island is Paradise Falls, themed in general to the South American jungles seen in Disney Pixar’s UP. Massive foliage, including specially engineered plants creating an atmosphere of a lost island in the middle of nowhere. The plaza connected to the bridges to the other islands, as well as the bridge toward Discoveryland is home to a small cycle ride where guests can ride in hot air balloons. The Spirit of Adventure Balloon Race themed to the old adventure show that Carl and Ellie watched on TV. To the left along the bay near the bridge to Tortuga is The Enchanted Tiki Restaurant a new (or should I say old) twist to the classic attraction takes you into a full-service restaurant where the birds sing words and the flowers croon. Every so often the birds and flowers do in-fact burst into song into one of the numbers from the original tiki room. Along the back end, near the bridge to Discoveryland is Dirigibles a store with UP, Jungle Cruise, and Tiki Room related merchandise. Dirigibles also serves as the exit to The Jungle Cruise yet another new twist on an old favorite, this time following Carl and Russell on their trip through paradise falls. The trips are still as they always have been, following animatronic animals through the rivers of the world and they are still narrated by pun-happy skippers. Carl and Russell have a small scene including character dialogue at the beginning and the end of the trip, but other then that they don’t intrude, and you can still pass all the fun scenes from the original jungle cruises.

So that’s Adventureland. I’ll have a quick rundown of Discoveryland soon, and tomorrow land hasn’t changed so you can check page one for the full rundown of this land dominated by Buy N Large and X-S Tech.
And coming soon Disney’s American Adventure, Disney’s Legendary Kingdom, not to mention hotels, and so much more to come at Disney Nation Chicago.

I’ve just realized that that’s a really bad acronym. I’ll work on a new name for the resort soon.

As Always I welcome any comments, questions, or Ideas any of you may have!

Until Then…See ya real soon!

Thanks for the feedback guys, and given the day, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I've been slaving away with master planning for the other parks, including BREAKING NEWS! A Fourth park for the resort.

Coming Soon, I'm breaking down Disney's American Adventure Park, which is coming along very very well so far, so until I have some firmer details and a locked layout, let me tell you some of what's coming for the next park.

Disney's American Adventure is a celebration of all things America, here we will take you from Sea to Shining Sea, and plunge you into the amazing history of this nation.

The Identity of American Adventure is that of edutainment, with the goal to take you to the most unique places in america, and show and tell the legacy of the country. Inside the American Adventure, you will be able the find the attraction that shares the name, as well as a version of the Hall of Presidents, but other then that most of the rides and attractions I'm developing will be totally unique.

Inside the parks seven themed land, guests will be able to take flight with the Wright Brothers, as aviation takes it's very first leap! Everyone will be able to experiance the rush and thrill of the california gold rush, not to mention getting there along a pioneer trail. And guests will be able to zoom through a coal mine, situated in a 1940s wartime suburb.

And that's just the beginning, don't worry the park will have Disney Flavor (One signature attraction will be hosted by Goofy, other rides will feature Pirates of the Caribbean, and Princess and the Frog Characters.) Not to mention a massive, multi-sensory nighttime show being developed just for this park.

It will be an adventure for the ages as Disney Presents:

Disney's American Adventure Park

Coming Soon...

WELCOME BACK! To my world of Fun and Imagination, the world of Disney Nation Chicago! Today it’s time to begin our trip around the second Park at the resort.

Disney’s American Adventure
(As I’m typing this, “Golden Dreams” From the American Adventure Attraction just came on my shuffled play list, which I think is awesome)
This park is the one I’d been looking forward to working on most, because, growing up, my hometown theme park was themed to American History, and while I have no specific concepts taken from that park, I have used some ideas from the abandoned Disney’s America Project, Some Ideas that are incorporated into DCA, I lifted some concepts from some upcoming projects around the globe, but the bulk of this project was from my own imagination, and my love for the varying people and places in this country.

Just as Disneyland was dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that created America, this park is a return to that in the purest sense. Taking guests to all of the amazing places this country has to offer, from sea to shining sea. In Six themed lands arranged around a lagoon. The “No Specific Ocean.”

From the Entrance, and moving Counter-Clockwise around the lagoon guests will find the following areas.
Hudson Harbor
President’s Square
New England Fair
Hometown America
Crescent City Port
Big Sky Country (Divided into Two Sub-Lands)
Fort Sutter
Wright Brothers National Park

But before get to any of that one must pass through Ellis Island.
As you come up to the park, you are drawn to the Ellis Island Processing Center by a scale reproduction of the Statue of Liberty, towering above the entrance plaza, and greeting guest the same way that so many have been when arriving on America’s Shores after a long hard journey. The only difference is that with this statue, at night the flame in her torch will actually light and provide light for those passing by.

All Ticketing, Security, and Admissions function will take place inside the Ellis Island Processing Center, which will be generally inspired by the actual building on Ellis Island.

http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy183/TipTopClub/EllisIsland.jpg
The Actual Ellis Island Building, which will inspire the entrance.

Once inside the building, guests will be divided into two camps, those who have passports (Tickets) and those who don’t. Those who don’t bear over to Customs, where passports may be purchased. Those who do can pass directly through the Health and Hygene Inspection (Security) and then go through Final Processing (The Turnstiles) all of this is being done tongue in cheek, to show that many steps had to be taken by those who passed through the island, but without intimidating anyone, it is a theme park after all!

Once passed through the turnstiles, guests are greeted by a small indoor plaza, with a fountain in the center, depicting Washington crossing the Delaware. On the left side of the fountain is the 1900 Exposition Center A large store designed for selling various sundries and Park Related Merchandise. On the ride side is The Melting Pot a quick service restaurant with American Favorites. If you choose to pass either of these locations you can make your way through the glass doors and pass into Hudson Harbor.

Hudson Harbor
The year is 1900, the turn of the century and everyone’s excited. The City of New York is on it’s way to becoming the center of the universe, but beyond all of that the first this you see is the Yank.

The Yank is the park’s central icon, and the first thing that guests will see upon entering America after passing through Ellis Island. The Yank is a 158 foot tall Lighthouse, striped in White and Blue, guiding guests and passing ships on their way, and letting them know that whatever way they choose, it’s light will be there to guide them. The Yank is Positioned across the No Specific Ocean at the end of a cape, so it is essentially placed in the middle of the lagoon, dividing it in two. (I have a layout sketched out so I’ll be able to post that soon and make this description easier. Normally have no trouble working out the layout of a park, but I’ve been fighting with this one for weeks!

Hudson Harbor itself is arranged in a kid of U shape, with guests entering at the base of the U and being able to choose which direction to go. If guests choose to go right, they’ll be heading West, and passing through some of the streets of Hudson Harbor, before ending up in the wild American West of “Big Sky Country.” Should they go left they’ll end up on the eastern seaboard instead, passing through the town of President’s Square, and then ending up on Cape Edwards for “New England Fair.”

http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy183/TipTopClub/HudsonHarbor.jpg
Inspiration for the buildings of Hudson Harbor.

Either way they choose guests are plunged into this New York Big City world, with brick buildings towering above them. Balconies, fire escape stairs, and clotheslines seem to line the walls of this area of the town, and in the water, guests may see crates of cargo on their way in and out of the harbor, and a crane situated on the right side of the U hauling cargo all day long. The entire Left portion of the U is made up of the Metropolitan Trading Company A Massive Emporium style shop. In the center of the U, in front of Hudson Harbor, Guests may encounter various favorite Disney Characters in street appearances.

Along the Right side of the U, guests will first encounter the Hudson Harbor Port Authority This building is home to Guest Relations and First Aid. Past the port authority is New Amsterdam Jewelers an upscale shop tucked into the 20th century nook.

What’s that you hear? A whirring noise has filled the air as guests look up to see a newly built Elevated streetcar line. The Edison Electric Rail is a two-way rail system, that links the entire Eastern Half of the park, with stations in Hudson Harbor, President’s Square, New England Fair, and Hometown America. The Cars themselves are not too different from San Francisco rail cars, except they are elevated about 16 feet in the air, along a dim green painted track, not dissimilar from Chicago’s elevated L tracks.

http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy183/TipTopClub/EdisonRail.jpg
Similar Supports, but a muted green color.

As guests round the top of the U on the right side they find the entrance to “The American Adventure!” A Scheduled Multimedia tribute to American History, and a clone essentially of the EPCOT classic.

Rounding down again into a Second U shaped area of the Harbor is the Hudson Harbor station of the Edison Electric Rail, with the turnaround at the end of the street. Behind the station are The Breadbasket And The Breadbasket Bakery. The Breadbasket invites guests to have a home cooked meal, with a classic American Feel. The Breadbasket is also home to morning Character Breakfasts. And character meals throughout the day. Next door at the bakery, guests can watch as master pastry chefs create exquisite baked goods throughout the day. Here guests can sample fresh bread, and buy exceptional fresh made goods all day long.

At the end of the street is Police Precinct 44, home of Cops and Robbers. I’m still working out the details of the attraction, but suffice it to say that in this ride utilizing Test Track Technology, guests take on the role of an investigative reporter, shadowing a police captain for a day, it just so happens that in classic Disney Style, something goes terribly wrong! And it happens to be the day that a high speed chase occurs. Guests are up against the armed and dangerous mafia, as gangsters elude the guests, as they make their way through the grimy streets of New York, trying to catch the infamous Dogface McDogal!

That’s it for Hudson Harbor, and more will be coming soon, as we continue to make our way around the lagoon, chat about the new Shining Seas Nighttime Spectacular, and continue our American Adventure Together!
