Hop through all 4 parks. Possible?

Okay here is the thing. My wife and I hit Disney last October. We are going back in March with my parents who own a time share 2 miles away from the entrance of Disney World. We did all 4 major WDW parks last fall but did less in Animal Kingdom because we wanted to hop over to MK once more.

So this is what is happening. I am going to go with my parents to Animal Kingdom again. They have never seen that one. The park is open from 9-6pm during our stay. My idea is to got to AK early in the morning likely hit most everything by 4-5pm and hop over to DHS to do a couple rides (TOT). DHS is open until 8pm I believe. Then hop over to Epcot and maybe do a thing or two there, Epcot is open until 9pm. Then go and finish the day off in MK which is open until 11pm.

Now, we will buy a two-day hopper pass and spend a FULL day in MK again but the 2nd day I described do you believe that is do-able? I've been told the best thing to do is park at MK, take the bus to AK, then the bus to DHS and then I am not sure if the Monorail or bus go to Epcot from there. But then take the monorail from Epcot to MK. Is this how it can be done? I know there is no monorail linking to AK

From DHS to Epcot, I think your best bet is the friendship boats or walking (it's a relatively short walk through the Boardwalk between the two parks). I'm not sure buses even run between those two parks, and there's definitely no monorail connection.

As for whether it's possible to hit all 4 parks in a day, the answer is yes. I did it once with a good buddy of mine. But I have to admit that the whole day was kind of a blur afterwards. You burn a lot of time in transit on a 4-park day.

It is doable. I did all four parks in one day, and then ended the night at the now closed Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island in August 2008. Was up nearly 20 hours. Not a care in the world and I loved it. I even did it a few months ago in December 2009, minus hitting Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island.

I did the same route you are thinking -- Animal Kingdom, then to MGM/Hollywood, then I walked to Epcot, then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Didn't hit everything but did what I felt like doing.

Best of luck to you.

Never tried four parks in one day. We have done three parks in a day. We headed from the beach club by bus to MK then took the monorail back to Epcot and then took the boat from Epcot to DHS. It was hard work, good luck trying to do four in a day!

A lot depends on crowd size. We usually hit all four parks on our last day, just to hit the favorites before heading home.

It's doable; I've done it by myself once. Just remember that any pace will be dictated by the slowest member in your group, and that many of the more popular rides later in the day may not be readily available to you if you're trying to maintain the 4-park schedule. :)

Yes, I have done this myself. It was for my 21st birthday in July 2006. My friends and I each did my favorite attractions there so we could move between parks quicker. Although we spent the most time at Epcot because that's where we had my birthday lunch reservations.

It's doable we have finished AK before by 3. Make sure you get there for opening at AK and hit the Safari and Everest first if you plan on doing them, those will get big lines and hold you up. the rest of the night looks good. Check to see if you'll have EMH at MK. You can get a ton done when half the park leaves. If MK doesn't have EMH and Epcot does, It'd reverse the 2 because then you'll get extra time at Epcot and you'll still have a full day to do MK tomorrow.

I took the friendship boats once from DHS to Epcot. It's a nice ride, though it takes about 20 minutes. It ended up being slower than that for us because we had just missed a boat, and waited at least 20 minutes for the next one, before starting the 20 minute ride. But I don't think that's typical. I've always wanted to try the walk but haven't gotten around to it.

There is a bus that runs between DHS and Epcot. One thing to take into account is that the bus takes you to the front of Epcot, and the boats or the walk take you to International Gateway which is almost as far from the entrance (and the monorail) as you can get in Epcot.

Anything is possible. Going to the parks in one day can definitely be done. I think that you should instead be asking yourself, "how much will I enjoy doing this?". You will miss a lot by going to four parks in one day, but only you can be the judge of personal enjoyment. Have fun either way!

I know someone who has hopped all six domestic parks in one day...
This is insane. There was a guy on here not long ago who made a video of himself and his dad doing MK and DL in one day. Add park hopping to the mix and that doesn't even sound fun.

Spending just an hour in each park and allowing yourself 30 minutes to get between WDW parks (which is a bit on the generous side), I'm guessing a 6-park day might look something like this:

8 a.m. EST: check out of Orlando hotel, baggage in hand
9 a.m.: arrive at MK
10 a.m.: leave MK
10:30 a.m.: arrive at Epcot
11:30 a.m.: leave Epcot
noon: arrive at DHS
1 p.m.: leave DHS
1:30 p.m.: arrive at AK
2:30 p.m.: leave AK for airport
3:30 p.m.: arrive at airport 2 hours before flight
5:30 p.m.: plane leaves Orlando
7 p.m. PST: touch down in Anaheim (or LA)
8 p.m.: make it to DCA (hope they were open late today!)
9 p.m.: hop over to DL (if they're open past 10, you get 2 hours in a single park!)

Whew!

Was it anything like that for your friend?

Don't remember exactly. I think he said he got FastPasses for Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom and showed up at the one in Disneyland with them later in the day.

I can't wait to try it myself someday... :-D

I pulled the quadfecta in 2006. We planned very well and hit all E-tickets in all 4 parks the last day we were there. Ok, well I say ALL E-tickets. Maybe not a few in Epcot like UoE or LS.

It can be done if the season is right and it isnt a saturday or sunday.

Good luck

Yah you can do this pretty easily...

Start off in AK.. fastpass the Safari first then walk over and get in line for everest.. after doing everest.. go do your safari then exit park while chekcn things out a bit.

Bus to MGM/DHS.. fastpass tower of terror then do some shows while you wait for your fastpass.. beauty and beast, little mermaid, american idol, mulch sweat and tears, whatever. After doing Tower Of Terror.. try for rock in rollercoaster if its a very low wait time.. otherwise do some shopping on way out of park.

Boat to Boardwalk/Epcot.. get off at the boardwalk or epcot and walk into epcot.. grab some fudge if off at boardwalk to eat while walkn into epcot. When you get to Epcot have lunch at a quick counter service.. China or Germany. Hit some snacks while you shop around countries.. frosty drinks in france, funnel cake in america, etc. Head to futureworld and do whatever has short lines... Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, etc. Grab soda at Club Cool.. and exit park.

Monorail to Magic Kingdom.. spend the late night at magic kingdom.. should have plenty of time to do Splash, Pirates, whatever.

Busy day but not impossible.

I forgot to mention in this little schedule that part of your hour in each park would be spent procuring a locker for your luggage...unless you used one at the TTC and bookended the day with the two monorail parks (or stuffed everything in the back of a rental car).

I seriously would like a play-by-play on how someone pulled this off, what they actually accomplished inside the parks, etc. It fascinates me.
