To leash your children or not in the parks

It definitely depends on the temperament of the child, but it definitely worked for us. We went to Disney once as a group of 1,2, 4, 6 year olds and my younger brother (2) threw a tantrum, from how the story goes. My mom is no-nonsense, and she walked him towards the park entrance, all the way...

To leash your children or not in the parks

You'd be surprised. A strict/rule-enforcing parent will make it work. There were four of us growing up and none of us were angels all the time, but a quick "If you do that one more time we're going back to the hotel" always worked!

    How Important?

I'm a rope drop until closing person! We normally just do one day per park, so I want to make the most of it! This past trip was the only time I've ever felt tired out, but that was because we had 4 days in a row of park time, and most were at least 12 hour days!

To leash your children or not in the parks

Kiddie leashes make me so sad. I get the purpose, but they just look so uncomfortable for the kids that are wearing them, especially when they look like they get whiplash when trying to pull away from it! I'm one of 4 kids that were really closely spaced age-wise, and my parents DRILLED safety...

    No Exceptions!

Bongos has great drinks! We were there for my 21st birthday and they had tons of options and samples for us- the Raspberry Mojito was delicious!

    That Final Farewell!

Definitely MK if I can plan it correctly.... this past trip (February) was the first time in a LONG time that we didn't end with MK, but that was because we only had 4 days down in Florida and we based park days around crowds & avoiding Kelly & Michael at the MK. We ended up with Epcot, which is...

Vera Bradley + Disney Prints = Happy Me

This just made my night! I love Vera, and to Disney mixed in!?!? I'm sold! I love the black pattern!

    "My Disney Experience"

I used it a few weeks ago on our trip, but we really only saved it and used it for checking wait times and character spots in the parks. Otherwise, we had issues with it!

Tea Cup refurb will sadden my little one...

We always used to go in January during college and missed Splash Mountain- it always became incentive to go later!

What new retail and dining locations would you like to see added to DTD?

Yes please! I visit every tapas place I can ever since studying abroad in Spain!

Be Our Guest Restaurant: Lunch or Dinner?

We did lunch about two weeks ago and loved it! Got in line at 11:00 and we were seated by 11:30. The French Onion Soup and Chocolate Cupcakes were delicious! It's definitely worth the wait- in my eyes, getting a fastpass and waiting online 5 minutes for Peter Pan and spending that added time...

    Restaurants To Avoid!

I love the atmosphere at T-Rex, but the noise was just too much. That meteor shower destroyed our ear drums one trip! You could barely hear each other across the table.

Very important musings on Captain EO

We went last week to WDW and skipped it without even thinking about going on. I miss Honey I Shrunk the Audience!

Riding Space Moutain with the lights on

I've done TOT partially with lights on- our ride broke down right after the drop and as we sat there they turned the lights on. There's actually cool theming in TOT when the lights are on- creepy ventriloquist dummies and stuff like that!

If you hate photos ... this is not the trip report for you

Yes! We just had a ganster the other day and I was cracking up in the front seat since my boyfriend & good friend lives there. In return for me laughing, he scared me to death when he got out of the car haha

    Indiana Jones' Extras?

Haha we always thought they were joking when we were in the audience, but I guess they do have to be careful!

Any Attraction You Actually Want To Get Stuck On?

I could totally fall asleep when we get stuck tilting back!

Any Attraction You Actually Want To Get Stuck On?

I was TERRIFIED- when we could hear the car in front of us going up and down, we were convinced it was going to push back and crush us haha. To top it all off, it was my birthday- scariest birthday present ever haha

Any Attraction You Actually Want To Get Stuck On?

Haha TOT was TERRIFYING to get stuck on- we had just finished all of the drops, and pulled back out of that area when we got stuck. You could hear the other cars still dropping and people screaming before the lights finally came on and they announced the problems. Funny though... despite being...

    Indiana Jones' Extras?

That's awesome! Just wondering- did they stop using extras for the Backlot Tour? We were there two weeks ago and they didn't have it! I wasn't sure if it was seasonal...
