  • I'll hope and pray for you that it does happen! Unfortunately for us, we would not be able to do that anytime soon, if at all, but that'd be great to live so close to the parks!

My dream WDW job...that's a toughie. I've always wanted to be a Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain ride operator for no reason other than to be able to explore the sets and attraction at night. Come to think of it, I'd also like to work at Pirates of the Caribbean. Unfortunately an attractions operator job seems like it could get boring. But if I could have any job in the whole World, it would be a watercraft pilot. Even when I went when I was younger, I was always fascinated by the watercraft criss-crossing Seven Seas Lagoon. This job seems so perfect...you're out on the water all day where it's cool, interacting with Guests, and everyday is different. You can see the fireworks on the lagoon, the sounds of the boats blowing their horns...it's unadulterated WDW nostalgia for me.
I miss the virtual tours they used to have on the websites. I especially liked the Grand Floridian music.

LOL I get what you mean. There is so much mudslinging and negativity that it really makes us as Americans look bad. What are you going to do, I guess?

Maybe your husband could get a job at Orlando's airport! I don't think it would take away the magic too much. I wouldn't know from experience but from what I've read about WDW the magic should have been lost on me a long time ago!
Ha ha ha! You are hysterical! Deiter Dolph who cares - either one will do LMAO! I wasn't sure you would even know who I was talking about LOL

The movie was hysterical but 10 minutes into it I was like what the hell is this rated???LOL LOTS of sexual inuendo for a PG13 but hey...it's not like Lindsay hasn't seen nor heard it before...health, school, friends, Twilight series LOL but it was pretty corny and funny so we didn't feel like it was a waste of our money. Plus I had gotten one of those entertainment books a few months back and it was only $7.50/ticket vs. $11 !! That book has MORE then paid for itself....we use it all the time and it's not just food. It's hotel, air, rental cars....six flag type of stuff, restaurants of course....vacation stuff. It's actually worth the money for sure!

Back to the grind tomorrow - yeah!!!! NOT! LOL
I think I'm going to order the DVD. It'll be a year before we go back, so somehow I'm going to have to maintain my excitement. I can't wait to see the bit about the Contemporary!

It's a sad fact, but most Disney-philes should be in some sort of treatment! LOL. I respect those who move down to Central Fla. to further their obsession. It's a tough decision but one I envy!
LOL That's something I'd like to know! We have three dogs so we've grown accustomed to many disgusting and unsanitary things!

I'll echo what you said about politicians and advertisers. When politicians get to the point in their campaign where instead of promoting their points on issues they start attacking their opponent is when I stop watching the commercials. Most people are too one-sided these days that they don't listen to both sides of an argument before forming opinions for themselves.
It's funny, but the water composition is undersold when it comes to pizza and bagels. Bagels and pizza in north and central Jersey are much different (and superior) than in south Jersey. But I'll reserve judgement until I try the stuff down south!

LOL We just may have to send you guys to WDWAA! Nothing beats those videos. How's the DVD this time around? We have the one from the Year of A Million Dreams, it was a bit hokey, but nothing gets you more excited! (You should've seen our household when our luggage tags came!)
You're very fortunate to have such an attitude...it's something I envy in people. I tend to be very cynical, but I like to even it out by being friendly (at least I hope I am!)

LOL No, thankfully I'm not that much of a germaphobe. I wash my hands before and after I eat/use the bathroom, etc. and I'm certainly not one to carry Purell everywhere. (Especially because that's even worse for your skin.) You're right, getting sick is very much a crapshoot, and just because you touch a door handle then proceed to eat some Goldfish doesn't mean you'll get sick. However, something like dirty water is something I am wary of, especially since a week of a bacterial infection in a foreign country is not something fun!
No phone yet. A girl at work just got a new one and said I can have her old one. No clue what it is but I guess I'll find out Monday LOL Which is cool. Free is always good. It will just cost me a TMobile SIM card and that's it. They already said they can transfer my minutes and number so I'm good to go!

Deiter? LMAO!!! I was thinking more along the lines of Dolph Lundgren about 20 years ago LOL But i'll take Deiter!

On our way out to see Vampires Suck LOL you know...that silly stupid take off on Twilight and every other vampire movie/show out there...looks funny. News at 11!

Hope you are having a GREAT day!
LOL Quite true...I think VN gets their water from Pennsylvania, but from somewhere that matches the chemical composition of the water found in Naples. Hopefully that does not include parasites or whatever's in that water! (There I go being a germaphobe again!)

Fortunately, even though she raised you, you seem to have a good attitude about it and don't possess the traits that your mother does. I'm sure you'll boys will be fine!
That's an option! Thanks for the idea.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, though. I'm happy for you guys that she will not be able to make your trip, but nevertheless I'll pray for her. Has she ever gone to WDW with you guys before? If not, it seems you dodged a major bullet. It's unfortunate people have such a negative attitude about WDW and life in general.
Ok you officially said what I was thinking.....back in my ohhh I guess mid 30's I looked at "renee" and told her....I don't have to like you but I do have to love you LOL pretty bad huh? Now I can't say good about either LMAO!!! like I said longgg story that lasted about 40 years lol

At this point I'd be happy if they served me a "german" but then again, Linds doesn't need to see that LMAO! that was bad - I apologize....sort of lol

Sandy is on her way to get her ex because Linds just dropped my cell down a storm drain...I'm not that worried about it but Linds is all teary and up and arms and trying to make it 'right' - hell it gave me an excuse to get a new phone and now THATS gonna get blown out of the water LOL
    Part 3!

Thankfully, a perfect storm of problems helped veil the fact that I wasn't interested in travelling with them (For all intents and purposes because we would be obligated to tour the parks with them, thus not being able to visit Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth, World Showcase, etc. That would not have made us happy campers! What about you?
    Part 2....

Hmm, that's a good question. Quite frankly my favorite people to travel with are me, myself and I. LOL When in a group, they either walk too slow, or too fast when I'm attempting to examine something else, but you really can't beat travelling with ones you love. To answer the question, there is some family that I simply cannot travel with. When we used to travel with my mother's side of the family, it wasn't a fun experience. A big deal was made over everything, and touring was always a high-pressure experience. Waiting for parades was the worst! This past February, I had an opportunity to go to WDW with that side of the family. I declined going for a number of reasons, some of them having to do that we were already planning on going six months later, no one to board our dogs, and the fact that that side of the family was travelling with young children.
I'm having the recipie e-mailed to me, so I'll post it here when it is my possession!

I'm a bit anxious to travel to Europe, but I'm most nervous about the water. I read in a Conde Naste travel magazine once that there are many solutions to fixing water quality problems (for drinking) when travelling to foreign countries. I'm not sure if this applies to completely civilized countries like Italy, but the last thing I'd want to get on a trip is a bacterial infection. (Or maybe I'm just worrying to much...)
Yes - my parents! LOL Besides the fact that we haven't spoken in over 4 years (LONG story there ha ha!) they were always control freaks. Nothing worse then somebody who "thinks" they know what they are doing, will fight you till they draw blood to attempt to prove their point - then be wrong!!! LOL Besides, some people just don't get it - it being WDW and people undying love for it ha!

Liberty Tree Tavern is AWESOME! We ate there last year for Thanksgiving so it 's funny you say that. It was packed yes. Food was great though. I enjoyed the restaurant and the atmosphere and people.
I'm sure you'll be able to make it out to Europe one day! If not, there's no place like World Showcase. :)

I agree...cheeses are great in moderation. Pizza is fine as long as it's not a "gloopy" mess. I'm not a huge mac and cheese fan unless it's the crusty kind you bake in your oven...now that is good. By the way, have you ever heard of cucumber salsa? I recently tried this and thought it was delicious for chips.
Things have been crazy busy around my neck of the woods lately...I'll give your message the full answer it deserves as soon as the busy-ness has subsided...aka tomorrow afternoon. :) Sorry about the delay!
Do I need to start singing the Hallelujah chorus??? LOL Yeah no drama! I hope your hubby was ok! My car is SOOOO dirty - I'm bad. Yep I used to take it to a place on Canton Hwy. and for $15 or so it would get cleaned inside and out but now I do it about once every 6 weeks - yikes! Right now it's powder grey....that is the dirt level on my black car ha ha!!! Tomorrow will take care of that. I told my boss today...."see you Monday. I'm taking a mental health day!" LOL So i'm not working. I'm having a ME day so good for me! My day was crazy but now I don't care...and yes, I'm SOOO ready to go on my trip. It's a long year waiting for it - I feel your pain. Thanksgiving dinner is at Biergarten - weird I'm eating in Germany for Thanksgiving LOL I've never eaten there and my sister swears by it so we'll see!
Madge - that's cute! Mine is an Insignia but I haven't named it yet LOL Hell, I haven't even taken it out of the box yet! I want to get the car detailed ($18 detail...not $60 detail ha ha) and then put it in a "clean" new home :-)

Actually for Xmas why not buy yourself something for yourself while you are actually there and have them ship it - I'm pretty sure they do that! Have DH wrap it and put it under the tree and ta daaaa all surprised LOL

Sorry another Monday for you....we are on the same wavelength I fear - I'm so tired of Mondays I could spit fire! Too much crap at work BUT I put up with it and smile because I need my job...Plus I love the place. We just have a salesman who is a toad LOL
uh oh - two Mondays in a row for you - thats not good! LOL I think somebody irked your mojo - you need to get it back! LMAO!

Special BEFORE the trip...hmmmm gotta think lol - usually my something special is my great Hanes T I buy at the resort but that is not before....so let's see. Wow having to think too hard lol Ok well this year I bought myself a GPS because for some reason that last veer to the right....where you are heading down the road that leads to the resorts ...I ALWAYS without fail turn left and wind up way down by Sea World LOL so even tho I've stuck that thought to turn right wayyy down deep into my brain - I'm covered with the GPS I hope! LOL I think a gift card for yourself (act surprised LOL) is a great idea! I have my $200 one thru the deals so I'll count that one as my before the trip gift ha ha!
