Going from the quote by Iger to the drawing of the ride vehicle leaves me nothing but massively disappointed. I can't help but think the overall land will be amazing with the two rides being great but leaving some guests wanting more.

Yes, but you can't compare a simple pencil sketch of the ride seat to what the ride itself is going to be like.

The land should look amazing, but for a billion dollars I want more than two rides. DAK needs about ten more to make it a full day park for me. Give me a few dark rides...another coaster...a boat ride...maybe a double decker carousel at the entry of the park...just give me more to see and do!

Whilst I would welcome many more, I think that DAK is actually currently a 2 - 3 day park, IF you want to do every show, see all the animals, spend time wondering around, and riding the current attractions a few times (e.g. EE and Dinosaur - I could ride them all day!).
It does depend if you like the 'animal' side of it....I have stood watching the bats, hippo, tigers and gorillas for a long time! I find them fascinating.
I would however like 3 rides at Pandora...maybe they will add another when they can?
There will be a lot of screen and musion projection embedded in and behind scenery.Here is what I think is going on in that image. A big screen or set of screens embedded behind physical props, I overlaid the screen area in red:
Think Gran Fiesta but with a lot more foliage. Maybe.

Any idea about a seat that doesn't have to be climbed upon for those with movement limitations? Do the seats have backs on them? Maybe an alternated Soarin type seat?

Agree. AK is not all about "rides" or "coasters".
for Coasters id go to another park.

I thought people would be happy you are not just sitting normal Soarin style the whole time and appreciate that aspect. I said months ago the vehicle was similar in design to the speeder bike straddle. The drawing while close does not depict the detail and features of the vehicle that help create the feeling of riding a banshee. The best way I can describe it would be ITTBAB type effects.
Yes it will disappoint some who would love the impracticality of riding their own animatronic banshee but I belive some will be pleasantly surprised to the next best thing

I'm aware of the technical differences... I just don't think (IMO) it delivers a significant jump vs prior elements. Especially when the projection face figures can provide such incredible accuracy. Obviously the projection faces vs physical depend on the setting to say if one is viable or not.. but I'm not blown away here. I mean the Dave Jones figure in Shanghi pirates.. I was like w0ah.. this I'm like.. hrmph.

I didn't even think the ride would have this type of seat.
If you've seen my posts, I didn't think Disney would employ anything more radical than a chair or bench due to he varying physiques clamoring onto them.
