Bow chicka quack quack!
I found that is was a very pretty place. We even got to see a wedding, with Mickey and Minnie attending, off our balcony. It was wonderful!
Awwww, my kind of duck!![]()
Do you have regulations about that where you live? I know where I was in the States, there was no rule about it...parents took kids out for vacations all the time. But over here, you get fined if the kids miss a day when they weren't sick if you don't get permission, and you only get permission for special things like death of an immediate family member, or a big anniversary...over here,12.5 years is the first big anniversary. (10 is nothing) So we got the kids out for 2 days and had a long weekend for our 12.5 year anniversary.
Yep, I was fortunate that most people didn't feel that way, so I was able to get lots of scholarships and I graduated with honors from college. I am bringing my kids up to believe they can be what they want. So far DD wants to be a pop star and a fashion designer ( so she can design the clothes she wears on stage) and DS wants to be a soccer player (naturally) and a DJ, so he can do the music for DD.
It is a beautiful time to go. I love the gingerbread house display in the GF.
The other day, hubby went to throw a garbage bag into our bin. And what did he find but a very comfortable raccoon curled up among the garbage. He had likely been stuck there all night and needed a little assistance to get out. Now, I ordinarily find these animals adorable but there's something about them being enclosed or where they aren't supposed to be or something. I ran away and hid.![]()
I think you meant to reply to someone else? I forget who but someone else was talking about giving up caffeine. It certainly wasn't me! I drink coffee a few times a month. Now Diet Pepsi on the other hand...
As we got in our teens, Mom thought no one should leave the house without make up. After hearing about animal testing, and harmful chemicals. I said no way.
I started looking for a new sewing machine it's driving me up a wall! It's not easy trying to figure out the bells and whistles I need vs. the ones I want vs. what I can afford. Now I'm trying to see if going with a simple embroidery/sewing combo might be the way to go. There's one basic combo with some Disney designs built in. I'm afraid if I got that one there'd be Figment or Olaf on everything I ownCome to think of it that may not be a bad thing

Do any of you know anything about sewing machines?
I'm glad to hear that. I always try to post a variety. Even the snow ones (that some poo-poo about) have a touch of beauty to them I think.
I just noticed Samantha Brown is selling travel stuff on HSN. She has some expensive luggage.![]()
It was 90 today in Florida. We are getting snow on Thursday, Jammie day with a big blanket for me. Soup for lunch and dinner. Made with a rotisserie chicken.
It was 90 today in Florida.
It's 74 degrees out here. I feel like running to the hills singing about how they're alive with the sound of music, but that might get me some strange looks.
You'd have a wonderful time. WDW is beautiful during the holidays. My dh and I have been talking about going the week between Christmas and New Years(2016 into 17) mostly to check out the decorations and resort hop. Are we crazy or do you think we'll have a good time?
I would love to see the GF gingerbread house up close.
A few years ago, I was watching a pleasant show on tv about the White House gingerbread house, and how the chefs would start backing the gingerbread many weeks in advance. The entire project took a long time to bake, assemble, decorate, etc., and then it had to be carefully slid on to a platform, and carried on the shoulders by at least 4-6 men to the room where the gingerbread house would be on display. It was a very delicate task to move the house to the display table without the house falling to the floor and breaking. (Apparently, it was also very heavy and that's why they needed multiple people to carry it. If I recall correctly, the location of this particular kichen was in a lower level without an elevator, and they had to carry it up some steps as well.)
I think it hit 74 in NYC today and more of the same for tomorrow. But global warming doesn't exist.
And how was everyone's Halloween?
