I love everything you said, I absolutely love the GK and DD and her hubby. But, those expectations are so much higher. When hubby and I go we never have a plan, except maybe one ride in each park, for the day ....maybe two if it turns out not to be crowded. We don't do sit downs, generally I love the old style of touring, go where you want do what you want, and never stress about "missing" something. I figure I can do that in the future, and if the future doesn't come , I'm not going to be here to stress over that.;)
The one thing that I do differently is that I LOVE my sit down breakfasts and dinners at Disney. I like a good balanced breakfast to start my day before all of the walking. As for dinner- some of my favorite restaurants that I've ever been to are at Disney. I think about those meals constantly between trips. We do a long, sit down dinner every night.

Same here. I love table service! It's all part of the vacation - not having to cook, serve, or clean up! :joyfull:

Oh my gosh you guys.....
I just spent my entire lunch break reading this thread and there are still 10 pages I didn't get to.
I have to go to a meeting.
I'm trying to keep up but holy moley....
I'll be back later but I can't imagine how far behind I'll be by then.
I need to figure out how to keep up.

I started looking for a new sewing machine it's driving me up a wall! It's not easy trying to figure out the bells and whistles I need vs. the ones I want vs. what I can afford. Now I'm trying to see if going with a simple embroidery/sewing combo might be the way to go. There's one basic combo with some Disney designs built in. I'm afraid if I got that one there'd be Figment or Olaf on everything I own;) Come to think of it that may not be a bad thing:joyfull:
This looks like a pretty basic unit, will it suffice?

Seriously? PARENTS trick or treating? That sounds...wow...there are no words. I could understand a parent bringing an extra bag if one kid was sick or something and couldn't come, that they would explain it and ask if they could have a treat for said sick child, but to be a grown person begging for candy? That's kind of rude.
The only parents I had come to the door was because their kid was asleep in a stroller.

Oh and I went back to the doctor today about my hand (for the newbees, I tore a ligament in my thumb and had surgery about five weeks ago). Doctor sent me in for an x-ray, which I thought was odd, but I went with it. Doctor came in to see me and asked how I was feeling. Honestly, I've been feeling good, so that's what I told him. He pressed over the incision on the top of my hand and asked if it hurt. It's mostly numb there, but it hurt a bit. Apparently, when they went in there, it cracked the bone a little bit there. Which explains why I haven't been able to move my index finger properly (same bone). He said it should heel on its own, but I have to go back in in two weeks for another x-ray just to be sure. In the meantime, no sports, no heavy lifting. I should be playing piano as therapy though, he said, an the thumb itself is heeling nicely.

On the plus side, this means no dishes yet...and now I can say I've had a broken bone.
