The first night, I enjoyed having the extra hour of sleep. But now I feel like I want to go to bed ridiculously early and I wake up an hour early (which I suppose isn't a horrible thing). Of course, I've got this bad cold too so that could be throwing me off.

I hope you feel better soon. I'm still waking up in the middle of the night. I put PBS on and watched a couple cooking shows until I went back to sleep. Good thing hubby can sleep through a nuclear war, ha!

He must be related to my dh he sleeps through everything.

Family should be a refuge, not a curse. Wish it were for everyone.

Some of us are born into our families and some of us have to go find them. I've got a little bit of both going on and that's ok. As long as we realize that we don't have give someone more respect than they deserve just because they are related, it will be all good.

I am in the same boat, @donaldtoo . I can't handle all of that "ketchup", either, so I just jumped in. I guess I hope to figure it out as I go along.

I'm here almost every day, and I still can't figure it out!

Sorry to answer so late (it's been crazy in my house) but it's all PC to me. Can't offend anyone. No Halloween but harvest party. No Christmas but winter festival. No Easter but spring fling. The only holidays our schools recognize is Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day and those type.

Now it's up to each teacher if they want to decorate their classroom with ANY holiday and if any parents want to send in holiday treats that's okay. I sent in for my daughter's class Halloween goodie bags with candy, stickers, and plastic bug toys in them.

In my son's school, the no costume thing is definitely not PC. They still have a Halloween party and encourage the kids to wear black and orange...just not costumes. So, I think for them, it must have something to do with the hassle for teachers to keep all the costumes together and the scariness for some little ones. I've never asked, though.

I started looking for a new sewing machine it's driving me up a wall! It's not easy trying to figure out the bells and whistles I need vs. the ones I want vs. what I can afford. Now I'm trying to see if going with a simple embroidery/sewing combo might be the way to go. There's one basic combo with some Disney designs built in. I'm afraid if I got that one there'd be Figment or Olaf on everything I own Come to think of it that may not be a bad thing

Meh. It's just the nature of the job. I am taking one vacation day on the 27th this year though because it works in with my ordinary days off + the 25th, giving me 3 days off in the row. But typically, my vacation time is in the summer. I'm sure this is true for lots of people, no?

I have these amazingly spicy buffalo wings chips at home that my husband picked up at Cabela's. They are the spiciest chip I have ever eaten. The problem is...they are at home and not here. They are all I am thinking about today.

I love the Herrs ketchup chips. They are only sold one time a year around here so I stock up! Bet cha can't eat just one!

Sorry to hear that. I thought hubby's firm was really behind in their views.

Maybe it's just a Canadian thing but here there are lots of people that only get one-two days off during the holidays. Otherwise, the place would shut down, no?

I grew up without seat belts. To that defense, we have a lot more cars on the road today. But, air bags...at my height and weight, seem more risky .

And cars go a lot faster too.

My younger ds simply loved it. he has since out grown the Wii and gave the game to a good friend. He still plays Epic Mickey 2 on his PS3

This is good news, as I really do want to buy it. Do you remember what age he was when he first played it?

I think you meant to reply to someone else? I forget who but someone else was talking about giving up caffeine. It certainly wasn't me! I drink coffee a few times a month. Now Diet Pepsi on the other hand...

I love Pepsi, and pizza the perfect combo. I like the sugary kind. I'm bad, but I only drink a small amount, and clean the toilet with the rest! (It's supposed to be good on pipes!)

Yeah...it sucks. But I've been able to do my work and whatnot so can't complain too much.

I know he got it when it first came out. The Wii has been gone for a while so under 10 for sure

I've looked at the new machines, too. Some look harder to operate than a 747!

Are they spicy? Ketchup chips are quite common around here but I never heard of Herr's.
