Had the ligament repair surgery done today. Sugery went well. In six weeks, I should be playing piano again. Doctor said I might pick up my violin again too.

For now though, my hand is killing me, and my stomach isn't happy about the anestesia.

Sympathy like.

Cat is unsure about what to do with herself. Between me having surgery yesterday and getting a new refrigerator today (ours went up over the weekend) she alternates between being on top of me and staring at the refrigerator.

We got the blood draw taken care of. In only 2 tries! Yea. We were at the Doctor's office for 1 1/2 hrs. They had an emergency come in, and of course that should come first. First thing I did when I got home was have a big cup of coffee. Whew, headache averted!

Yea for pop!!! I just knew he'd plow through this whole procedure. Maybe once he gets settled at home and is feeling better, you all could go out for tasty barbecue to celebrate his good health!!

There may actually be some dietary adjustments being made by all of us at this point (I've already started - as I've posted before, oldest DD is quite the healthy eating expert), but, I'm sure we'll still have a bit of BBQ, etc., from time to time...!

It went well. So we are good to go to Disney, yea! Got a pneumonia shot today, too.

Fennel bulbs will help you feel full, too. Although, they make my tummy feel terrible. Rosemary in food also helps as a natural apetite suppressant. If you don't add it already, it might work out in the sweet potato soup recipe.

I like rosemary on green olives. Chopped very fine.

We had a ton of rain today--streets were flooding out, multiple accidents on the highways, etc. Ugh.

Since the new school lunch guidelines went into effect, my son noticed a curious thing in his school cafeteria. They used to not have any soft drinks, not even in vending machines, where students can get them. You now can get a Diet soda in the line.

That's just crazy, soda sugary or not is so bad for kids. And aspartame used to sweeten Diet Soda is full of health hazards.
