Thanks! :)
He should be coming home either tomorrow or Saturday.
Hopefully tomorrow, 'cause he's the kinda' guy that really dislikes being cooped up and inactive.
Oh that's really soon!! Great! My FIL was in for 5 days after his heart attacks, and he's the same way...very active and loves being outside, so being stuck in a hospital room, mostly in bed, is almost torture to him! I'll pray that "pop" is well enough to go home tomorrow!

It's to avoid live downed wires. It will only be done if the winds hit a speed. It will supposedly help get power back up sooner as they won't be running around taking care of the live wires first.
But then wouldn't the time the power is out be just as long, if not longer by shutting off the power, then is saved by repairing it after the damage? And in the meantime, places that might have never lost power are without it. I understand some of the reasons why they think it is a good idea to do, but, that is with no regard to the unnecessary hardships that are artificially created by their actions. Sorry, still don't think it's a genius idea.

You know, There was this conversation on a photo forum a few days ago about politics.
Its amazing how fast they went into full racism and hate and blaming it all on my country. Not even funny..

I mean, Its not like my country magically made Worldwide (specially USA's) corporations to move all their jobs to china and india.

Well, I'm pretty sure that back then.. people werent as stupid to try to take a selfie with snakes, bears, mooses and perhaps a hurricane/tornado as they do today. :hilarious:
Or do we enable them to be that stupid by constantly making sure that they don't ever figure out how to use common sense because we run block for them all the time. Why are there doors on Disney trams? Shouldn't functioning adults be able to keep themselves from falling out of a vehicle that's hard to stand up in even when it's stopped much less while it's moving? Shouldn't adults be expected to follow directions and put their children to the inside as instructed? I know it isn't that way anymore, but, I cannot help but think that it doesn't speak well of the intelligence of today's population.

Totally agree with this. I think you can blame lawsuits.

Hubby has been a utility engineer for 38 years. He said it's for public safety. So people don't go out and get into a hot line. @Goofyernmost

If people are dumb enough to go out during a hurricane , they deserve it. Less people to to make of fun though

Speaking of stupid people...a couple Congressman want to raise the smoking age to 21. You can die for our country but you can't smoke or drink til 21. Stupid laws that people will not follow.

I think someone ranted something very similar in the spirited thread a few months ago.
About the new barriers put in almost all the attractions.
Seems common sense is gone in many people. They expect to be carried like cattle between bars and a spiked stick
