knock on wood but RI hasn't had a direct hit by a hurricane since 92. Superstorm Sandy or Hurricane Sandy...whatever dub@$$ name they call it was a clear sky wind event for us.

A cat-3 hasn't hit us since 54 I think. Which is ironic my brother just got done with his project about Rocky Point because the park got demolished after the hurricanes of 38 and 54, enough where they closed down for a decade after 38 and a few years after 54.

Apparently Maryland hasn't been directly hit by one since 1933. The forecast model changed overnight though and they don't know where Joaquin is going.

Yep...huge fan here. I've read all the books probably about 10 times. I've watched the first couple of movies quite a few times, the later movies fewer times because it makes me mad when they deviate from the books. Last year I went to London and did the studio tour and walked through London to see all the filming locations, and then we (my friends and I) went to Lacock to see THOSE filming locations. And I used to be on the contest staff at The Leaky Cauldron fan site. I introduced my kids to the series this year, but so far they've only read the first book and seen the first 3 movies. We're reading the 2nd book now. But they won't get to read/watch 4-7 (8) for a few years because they aren't old enough. But yes, I'm a pretty major fan. I would have been waiting outside the bookstore at midnight for releases if they had those here. I did wait outside the bookstore, but it wasn't until 9:00 a.m. here. And I went to Hogsmeade in Universal a month after it opened in 2010. I really only know one person whose obsession rivals mine.
I agree that they removed a lot of things in the books that made the series so special.

Help me with this... They're going to shut off the power to avoid losing power? Wouldn't that just make the path of misery wider? I'm confused. Wouldn't the damage be the same if a storm went through, except that they eliminated the chance that there might not be damage and created the results of damage in advance? o_O
they probably want to save money by not risking the equipment failing or burning when theres shorts lol.

Am I the only person upset about the menu changes at Pecos Bill's? I was really looking forward to a veggie burger and fries there! Some of my other dining options look like they might also change Morimoto's looks good, I'm now thinking about going there on a day we're not going to a park. There's too many places we want to eat for the amount of time we have
