I have a very serious issue with people specifically going after topical issues of marginalized people and profiting off them. There is a certain degree of respectful interaction and understanding that you're a guest in the space, as well as respect for the people it pertains to. None of that is happening with that podcast. They specifically used the birthday of James Baskett to garner monetized clicks. Monetization of these issues is an immediate red flag. Inserting themselves into conversations, especially ones that are sensitive topics (esp. pertaining to POC pain) are also a dead give away. I am sick of Black and Indigenous pain being for sale.Curious question for you:
If someone is not BIPOC on a certain topic that pertains to those groups but they put in much research into said topic and represent everything as truthfully as possible, do you find a problem with that?
