Another vote for Disney's Animal Kingdom's Flame Tree and its bbq chicken as #1!

#2 Magic Kingdom's Pinocchio Village Haus cheeseburger & fries with window seat overlooking Its a Small World (that's as close as I want to get to that ride!)

#3 I don't eat a whole lot of counter service at Epcot with all its wonderful sit down restaurants, but in the Land, the food court there is my #3 counter service for WDW. With the variety of offerings and the ability to sit and take in the atmosphere of the Land pavilion while eating tasty food, it gets my third place vote. :)

Did you have Flame Tree BBQ this last trip? What did you think about the corn muffin and changing of Choc cake?

Sadly, I did not. All I could do was smell the bbq chicken as they had closed shop for the night and would sell no more food no matter how hungry I was. :(

My counter service votes tend to be a combination of the food quality and the atmosphere. You can't beat the little dining spot on the water at Flame Tree. They could probably serve me ants on a stick and I'd still vote them #1 or close to it!

What did you think of the corn muffin and chocolate cake, and what are your votes? You spent a longer time there more recently than I did. :)

The water spot at Flame Tree use to be a nice hidden secret until theYeti came to town.

I'll try to name the places I went last trip:

Hanniahs Grill: Great mild spicy Chicken Pita.

Earl Sandwich twice: wife loved the Tuna Melt. She even looked on line and found a Earl Sandwich in Arburn Mi. 250 miles away and she wants to do a day trip.

Mexico: I think best combo platter.

Sunshine in the Land: good sandwich

Peco Bills: First time there and good double cheeseburger with bacon. The topping make the place.

ABC at DHS: Okay. We need to find a new place.

Flame Tree BBQ: the chicken and ribs are still as good, but the sides not so. and to add insult the place by the water was being refurbed that week.

Epcot - The Land
MK - El Pirata (when it's open)

Other than those two there isn't much in CS that I like, I'd rather eat McD's fries instead.

Flame Tree - BBQ and sides with Safari Amber
Wolfgang Puck Express - any of the pasta dishes
El Pirata y el Perico (when open ) -

To borrow Krankenstein's organizational style:
1) Name: Sunshine Seasons
Location: The Land - Future World - EPCOT
Meal: Ham and Salami Grinder (or, as I jokingly refer to it, The Landwich)

2) Name: El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante
Location: Caribbean Plaza - Adventureland - The Magic Kingdom
Meal: Tacos!

3) Name: Captain Cook's
Location: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
Meal: Pepperoni flatbread and Pineapple Dole Whip!

I have to say that I've seen the menu for the upcoming Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, and I am quite looking forward to it!

1. Flame Tree BBQ - Like everyone else

2. Sunshine Seasons - Lots of seating, good choices.

3T. Cosmic Rays - If your on the dining plan, there's a lot of value here. The rib/chicken combo with drink and dessert runs around $21. On the plan, that's about the most value for a QS meal.

3T. Columbia Harbor House - Good change of pace.

I'm a chicken strip/nugget fanatic, so I go to Quick Service for other reasons, besides food.... cause I almost always get chicken at every place.... yes I eat chicken every day, 2-3 times a day while I'm at WDW... and I love it.

1.) Columbia Harbour House
Reason: Setting!!! Seating overlooking fantasyland/liberty square walkway and Haunted Mansion, can't beat it! And not a lot of people know about this seating area... and I hope it stays that way, but I'll share one of my favorite relaxtion spots with all of you this one time.
Favorite: Chicken Nuggets(Formerly Chicken Strips)

2.) Backlot Express
Reason: Love the theming, a lot of hidden seating areas, indoor and outdoor, but outdoor isn't out in the sun or anything crazy, tucked away from crazy crowds disrupting you or anything like that.
Favorite: Chicken Nuggets or Hot Dog

3.) Liberty Inn
REason: the only true Quick Service in World Showcase, not the most appealing setting or atmosphere, but I still love it.
Favorite: Chicken Nuggets

As a poster above mentioned, if you're on the dining plan, Cosmic Ray's is the best value, they have many menu items at $9+.... if you're into trying to get the most out of the DDP.
