The fact is that unless they change the pre-ride show completely (meaning whole new scenario which would then change the ride itself), then you need to have an artist who's alive (they need to shoot a video involving the band). It is a "rock n roll"er coaster, so unless they change the name of the ride, it should have to be a rock act. It should also be a band that's still relatively known. Bands like Zep, Kiss, etc. aren't too well known by younger people today. Even though they aren't all too popular with the young crowd (well they kind of are, just in the pop forefront) , I'm sure most younger people know your Aerosmiths and Metallicas.

I'd like them to keep Aerosmith, but if they have to change it, make it Metallica :drevil:

Although it should be a band that can appeal to not only young people, but also older people, and are also pretty much family friendly. Aerosmith is one of the few bands who fits that bill. They've had hits spanning 3 decades. I love Metallica, but let's be honest, Metallica and Disney don't really complement each other ;).

I like Aerosmith - I think their style works perfectly with the attraction. I have bands I like better, that I'd be thrilled to see be part of it. But I have a whole lot of bands I really dislike that would damper the attraction for me. So I'm cool with it remaining as is. :)

I really dislike the queue's theme/story and generally hate Aerosmith, but I can see why they picked it. The only band that really has the reputation to be in a Disney Park would be the Beatles, but I think RnR is much too thrilling for them. That and I don't like The Beatles either.

Micheal Jackson maybe?

I'm probably the worst person to ask actually.

Blasphemy.

I agree, they're the most appealing band to all ages, but 2 problems: They don't exist anymore and haven't since 1970! It's kinda hard to do a pre-show with Lennon and Harrison anyway....They also aren't quite "hard rock" enough. I can see The Who working out pretty well...even if there are only two of them left. Aerosmith works perfectly, keep it that way.

That and I don't like The Beatles either.

:eek::eek: Get behind me, Satan.

I was not an Aerosmith fan before my first time to enjoy this wonderful ride, but now, I have changed my "tune"! Yes, the argument can be had that there could be many others to step in, but a resounding nein, nyet, no would be in good standing at this point.

I think no matter what anyone suggests here, there will be someone who will reply against it - music preferences are just too varied between everyone. Even so, there aren't many choices that would be a good fit for the ride and have a wide enough fan/tolerance base to keep the masses happy.

If they ever decided to get rid of Aerosmith, they'd have to redo the ride without a headlining band. Maybe a selection of classic rock songs from multiple artists and some sort of general pre-show with a fake band instead.

Didn't Spinal Tap recently get back together? :D

Excellent Idea!:sohappy: Though personally I'd prefer more extreme metal,THAT would never happen.

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THE BEATLES!!!???!!!

I agree with the majority. I would love for Aerosmith to stay but if they replaced them with KISS, The Beatles..Queen would be cool, you cant really complain.:):sohappy: Or Run DMC!

Someone said Journey. Good idea but there a 1 hit wonder.:eek::eek: sorry.

Someone also said about how they appeal to the younger audience. Kids grow board of things fast. My little cousin hated the jonas bros, loved them now hates them again. Plus its an adults/teen ride really. KEEP AEROSMITH!!!

Someone suggested Bon Jovi wayyy back but, as much as I love them, I'm not sure that that woudl work haha.

Also Springsteen. Love Springsteen. Would pretty much marry him (After Jon and I got divorced, that is), but man would that be a depressing ride. 'The River' playing while on a 'coaster. I think not.

I know Journey was before your time, but they were far from a one hit wonder. Take some time to listen to search for their songs on Youtube - you'd be surprised how many you recognize.

Lol i knew id regret saying that haha (Im only 17 )

Haha :)

Bon Jovi... Please spare me. I know they are great but....please....

No worries, I was trying to be nice about it. :)

Technically Journey is before my time too, but I got into classic rock in college and developed an appreciation for them.

Speaking of classic rock - Whitesnake might work for the ride. You know... if they were more popular with the young crowd...

Personally i would love to see you be able to pick your own song choice or different cars that have different artists on them.

LMAO at Journey being a one-hit wonder. They had a video game for Pete's sake. And it wasn't a $3 video game you download to your phone, it was back when there were probably only 50 video games in the world and you had to go to special place in the mall to play it. This was right before we invented penicillin, but after the discovery of fire.
