Would you be happy with an Aerosmith replacement?

Bon Jovi, search your souls. You know this is a fact.

Bon Jovi would be a huge "Go" for me. But please, don't take away the classic rock 'n roll feeling by replacing them with a new-age "pop" group that no one besides a teen knows (eg: Jonas Brothers).

Someone suggested Bon Jovi wayyy back but, as much as I love them, I'm not sure that that woudl work haha.

Also Springsteen. Love Springsteen. Would pretty much marry him (After Jon and I got divorced, that is), but man would that be a depressing ride. 'The River' playing while on a 'coaster. I think not.

Springsteen would be a good call. INstead of the River, go with Cadillac Ranch or Pink Cadillac instead. Born To Run wouldn't be a bad call either.

KISS would make the most sense but I'm sure Gene Simmons would ensure he gets as much blood out of Disney for any related marketing.

Stick Iron Maiden in there, we could have a giant AA Eddie as the centerpiece for the ride! In 'A' mode he would stare at his crotch as you whoosh past - 'C' mode would have him swinging for you (see, the ride would get better as it ages).

There would also be the Meet & Greet with Eddie (although if you have the wee ones with you this might likely turn into a Meet & Greetin instead).

Never going happen of course but one can dream

I never really cared for Aerosmith before RnR, but think their music goes well with the ride. If they were to be replaced, I think Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild would work just as good with only slight changes in the theming. Or you could go on a "Magic Carpet Ride." However, my wife is looking over my shoulder and is yelling NO!!! NO!! NO!!! YOU CAN'T TAKE AWAY AEROSMITH. So I guess I just changed my opinion. Aerosmith stays! :shrug:

Journeys good but it wouldn't look right with Arnel Pineda replacing steve perry.

I think it anyone replaces Aerosmith it should be ACDC. I think that would be the best fit over any band for the ride.

I, too, would REALLY miss seeing Steve Tyler give us the shocker in the preshow!!! :fork: I absolutely love love love this ride and wouldn't want them to change a thing about it (unless they want to make it longer, I wouldn't complain about that). Aerosmith is the perfect band with the perfect music for the ride. I will admit I am a big Aerosmith fan, so maybe I am prejudiced...but something about going through that 60 mile an hour launch into that loop and hearing Aerosmith blasting in my ears gives me chills EVERY time!!!! :ROFLOL:It's one of my favorite rides anywhere, and I hope they keep it for a long, long time.

And really, what band could they replace it with without it costing a fortune, and how could they change the theming of it to fit another band without it just seeming like a cheap ripoff of RnR?? And pretty much every other rock band in history has had its controversy, drug issues, etc, so I don't see the problem keeping Aerosmith. And Michael Jackson??? Really?? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MJ...but I think we all know now that he wasn't without his addictions....on the flip side of that, there is the rumor that Disney is considering a return of Captain EO...I do like that idea, but if true, it would totally go against the idea of them taking away Aerosmith because of Steve Tyler's addiction issues, ya know?

Anyway, I will climb off of the soapbox for now....this is a dangerous thread for me, WDW and music happen to be 2 of my favorite things in the whole entire world!!!!

Every time I hear Love In An Elevator I think of the ride. So my vote is to keep Aerosmith.

If they ever did replace them it would have to be another ROCK band.One that has been playing together longer than Miley Cyrus or one of the Jonas Brothers have been alive.

I selected "Who Cares" moreso for the fact I really enjoy the ride. I like Aerosmith and am quite happy with the themeing as it is now but if, at some point, Disney did change to a different band, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I may change my opinion if it was converted to a Jonas Brothers or Miley Cirus ride though :hurl:
