I'm sorry, but if they changed it to AC/DC I might never ride it again, they are the worst band I've ever heard in my whole life, I'm already not seeing IM2 because of them, and RDJ is in that! :(

Wow. Never heard anyone say AC/DC was the worst band they've ever heard. You must not listen to much music.

U2. Their music would fit it perfectly.

I can think of a couple songs of U2's that would be OK, but not many. Maybe Elevation, Vertigo. Most of their stuff is too political. And most kids don't like them.

I'm a Bon Jovi fan so I'd go with them. They appeal to a very wide audience.

They really shouldn't change it to multiple tracks as it would become just like Rip, Ride, Rockit...although the originality wouldn't surprise me from TDO.

You're not going to see Iron Man 2 because of a BAND?

Changing from Aerosmith to AC/DC, Led Zep, Queen etc. (as has been suggested in this thread) seems to be a pretty pointless investment. It will still only appeal to the same crowd as it originally did and few regulars to WDW are going to be excited to see such a small change to the same track. As for the occasional guests, the Aerosmith overlay won't be old enough for them to be bored of it yet.

If they were to change the ride then surely they should change the entire theme? As in move away from the music side of things? I've always thought that RNR (while a great attraction) is completely out of place on Sunset Blvd. Why not theme it to something more appropriate to the surroundings? Perhaps a haunted coaster to tie it in with ToT?

That being said, I doubt very much that this is going to happen in the near future. The approaching refurb will be nothing more than a touch up and updated queue system.

Sounds like someones living in the past. Le Roth is so far past his sell buy date hes like a comedy tribute act. Infact the current VH line up is like a tribute act.

At least Chickenfoot have some relevance beyond a back catalogue.

VH last recorded song was Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff No More... I'd take that over the entire Chickenfoot album. Not that "Soap On A Rope" and "Oh Yeah" aren't modern classics.

Are you kidding me? Bon Jovi over U2? U2 doesn't appeal to kids?... but Bon Jovi would? U2 doesn't appeal to a wide audiance?... Seriously... Bon Jovi? ... Seriously?

you cant replace aerosmith with any preteen band. they just dont have the staying power or rock of years gone by. Other groups could replace them, but they have to be hard core rockers, like led zeppelin, stones, metallica, kiss, or any number of others. Just make them high speed like the ride! I prefer to keepp it aerosmith. I like hearing sweet emotion by the donut shop.

Agreed 100% I would be ok with them changing the band as long as it stayed a classic rock and roll band. Even a band like the Beatles I cant really see, they dont have the punch. I cant see taking off 60+ mph to A Hard Day's Night. I think AC/DC, Led Zepplin, and the Stones would be the only logical choices. I would love to see Keith Richards give me the shocker :ROFLOL:

And I think any of those bands appeal to the 13-30 age group people have talked about. Even if kids know the songs as remakes, they still know the songs. I would bet that more 13 year olds know 'Start me up' than 30 year olds know any Hannah Montana.

I for one would be devastated. I think Aerosmith is the perfect choice for a ride like this, that's why they're there in the first place. Their music is just so much fun, and it hasn't become outdated or stale in any way. People are still singing along to the songs in the queue whenever I ride. And it just wouldn't be the same launching without Steven Tyler's "3, 2, 1".

Steven Tyler sang "God Bless America" at Fenway Park Sunday night. It wasn't the most majestic moment in ballpark music history.

haha I was there. For this one and the past couple opening days, but he beat neil diamond. :brick: And yes Tyler still sounds like this live. Saw him play last summer... they need to quit im telling you.

I've heard from my sister that Aerosmith sounds better live. But this was a few years ago.

Maybe Tyler isn't doing so good... :/

I think "News and Rumours and Wishful Thinking" would be a better title for that particular forum

Haha yeah for some of the posts. Not this one though, i certainly dont wish aerosmith away  :animwink:

Steven Tyler passed away 11 years ago, I think its safe to move on.
Either you are seriously misinformed or i am missing a joke...:brick::lol::hammer:

Absolutely NOT !!!! Aerosmith is my all time favorite. And given some of Disney's recent descisions, I'd hate to see/hear how bad they would screw this up. It's Aerosmith, Disney, roller coaster......why mess with perfection ?

I have a feeling Aerosmith isn't going anywhere anytime soon. They've been rockin' at RnRC for a while now and now that the band has resolved their PMS issues, I'd assume they will remain in the coaster.
